Comments about Seiko SAT1100 Chromatic Tuner Regular:
This Seiko tuner is fast, accurate, easy to use.
Had thought the basic LED chromatic tuner in the Fender Mustang amp might be adequate for tuning - but was frustrating.
Love the analog needle - really helps visualize the subtle change in pitch from initial striking to the decay, and it shows the entire range of the note from flat to sharp. Considered the LCD models, but glad I spent the extra money for this model. Perfect for the perfectionist!
Made intonation adjustment quick and super accurate, and great for general tuning too. Versatile enough to be used for piano tuning.
Controls are easy - don't need to keep the instructions around. Nice to have the bright backlight - although it only stays on for 5 seconds - should be much longer to allow tuning at least a single string.
Yes, the stand/case is marginal. Due to the analog needle movement - it should be handled with some care to avoid damage - and then should last decades. A great value.

Comments about Seiko SAT1100 Chromatic Tuner Regular:
love the tuner, hate the stand. tuner is bang on for quick, accurate guitar bridge setup & intonation. but the stand clips won't stay in the tuner's recesses for them. the stand is worthless for holding tuner upright on a table, as shown in the pictures and its clipping to a music stand is an accident waiting to happen. love the tuner though. would actually buy it again.
Comments about Seiko SAT1100 Chromatic Tuner Regular:
I purchased this tuner because a friend had an older Seiko tuner that I really liked. So far, I have been very happy with this tuner. It works well for guitar and is pretty accurate - more so than my Boss TU-12. The needle works well and I actually used this to setup my guitar's intonation last night. While I'm sure a $300 strobe tuner will be the best, this one is great if you want better accuracy and either don't like stobes or don't want to spend any more.
