OVERVIEW

Hand-fabricated and scatter-wound for that breakin'-up Tele twang.

The Seymour Duncan Antiquity for Tele re-creates the beauty of an early '50s lead pickup Tele. Using vintage techniques, each pickup is hand-fabricated and scatter-wound. All parts of the pickup are aged and given the look of a pickup played for 40 years.

Like the originals, the ferrous bottom plates are not wax-potted for that "breakin'-up Tele twang tone" that's just on the verge of feedback. The pickups are Dun-Aged and come with mounting hardware, schematics, and tons of tone. The hookup wire is the classic "p back" cloth braid wire.

To some, this is craziness, intentionally creating an aged electrical component. But if you're like Seymour Duncan, and you appreciate the personal commitment and hand craftsmanship found in early electric guitars, then you'll want to capture that timeless beauty with an Antiquity pickup.

Comments about Seymour Duncan Antiquity for Tele Bridge:

With so many boutique pickups out there, it is hard to make a choice. Another tele player told me he has tried a few high end pickups, but has gone back to antiquity line. I thought would be worth a try.
I removed the aftermarket Fender tele bridge pickup, and soldered in the antiquity bridge. What an amazing improvement in tone. The antiquity is very smooth and full bodied. It has a nice balance of output, clarity, and tone.
It was also nice to find a flat pole bridge pickup, since I am left handed and the staggered pole pickups would not be appropriate for me.

Comments about Seymour Duncan Antiquity for Tele Bridge:

After watching/listening to a million demos of different pickups, I finally went with a set of these Antiquities for my '69 Thinline Telecaster. VERY happy with them. They have great top end clarity and chime without getting too piercing or "ice-picky". They are bright pickups for sure, but not thin sounding at all. There's this crispness in the upper-mids that I don't hear in a lot of other pickups. Exactly what I was looking for.

Great cleans and overdrive sounds. Haven't tried them with tons of distortion yet, but I usually use humbucker guitars for that kinda stuff anyway. This is the tele sound I wanted all along.

Highly recommend these for anyone looking for great sounding vintage style tele pickups.

Comments about Seymour Duncan Antiquity for Tele Bridge:

After years of switching pickups in and out of my Teles, I finally have this Broadcaster-style pickup in both of my main Telecasters. It's hands-down the best Tele bridge pickup I've played. The tone is sweet & smooth, yet dynamic enough for any situation...

Comments about Seymour Duncan Antiquity for Tele Bridge:

I've tried many pick-ups in my Teles and Strats. I keep going back to the Antiquity pick-ups because their sound & tone are consistent--just the smooth, vintage tone I love. Seymour has nailed it with these!

If you're looking for that signature tele twang, these pickups are for you. These pickups have a lot of quack in them that can be controlled through your tone knob.
