does not fit ibenez 7string guitars

By raven2elite

Comments about Seymour Duncan Invader 7-String Guitar Pickup:

after reading the reviews on the invader humbuckers i was sold on the idea they would be a good fit for my sound, and they actually might be but i wont be able to find out, why? i own 3 different ibanez 7 string guitars and these pick ups simply won't fit in any of them, the invaders are thicker than the stock pickups and also have the "L" bracket style backing plates. Combining both these issues make it so it is impossible to mount these pickups in a ibanez without modifying the guitar or the pickups.

SD Invader 7-String Bridge Pickup

By AustinP

from Seattle, WA

Comments about Seymour Duncan Invader 7-String Guitar Pickup:

Last year I bought a brand new Schecter Omen-7 Extreme. The stock pickups sounded ridiculously muddy, so I looked online for a new pickup (I only really use the bridge one so only needed this one). After reading some reviews and asking around I bought it. This thing is a MONSTER. It is extremely heavy and the sustain is just insane. I also have an Epiphone Les Paul, which sounds great and was always my preference even after buying the Schecter, but now it's just collecting dust. Now, I don't have a ton of experience with different pickups but I rated this one a 5 because it greatly exceeded my expectations. I honestly can't think of anything that would make me happier.

MADE TO INVADE

Comments about Seymour Duncan Invader 7-String Guitar Pickup:

I couldn't be HAPPIER!!!! This pickup gives my sound a nice bottom end without sounding muddy, great tone, and reduces the hum. I have this installed in my ESP F-204 playing out of a 5150 head along with a 4x12 Sovtek Cab and this CRUSHES!!!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR ANY 7 STRING METAL PLAYER!!!!!

Shweet!

Comments about Seymour Duncan Invader 7-String Guitar Pickup:

I bought a Duncan Invader for my washburn, and I must say that I am thoroughly impressed. I can get the heaviest distortion out of these without losing clarity. The only thing that could be better, is if they made the Tony Iommi pickups for a seven string. But until then, this pickup is the best seven string pickup out there.
