An ingenious mounting ring that lets you expand your tonal palette.

The Seymour Duncan TS-1 Triple Shot Flat Mounting Ring lets you expand your tonal palette by accessing three unique tones from a humbucker. This stealth pickup switching device allows you to access series, parallel, and split wirings with a standard humbucker via two switches on the mounting ring.

The triple shot mounting ring is easy to install. Just solder your pickup leads to the attached small color-coded circuit board. That's it. Push the two switches towards each other for standard series wiring; away from each other for parallel wiring; and both towards one coil (either one) to shut that coil off.

Use the Seymour Duncan TS-1 with nearly any humbucker pickup with four-conductor cable: Seymour Duncan or otherwise.

Note: Will not fit nickel- or gold-covered Trembuckers.

    Features

    • Expand your guitar's tonal palette
    • Lets you switch from normal to serial or parallel split wiring
    • Switches are built into the mounting ring
    • Made for flat, non-arched top electric guitars
    • Works with any humbucker with four-conductor
    • Easy to install

Get the most out of your humbucker! Order today.

    Pros

    • Easy To Use
    • Functional

    Cons

    • Cheesy Appearance
    • Mediocre Build Quality

    Best Uses

    • Project Guitar

Comments about Seymour Duncan TS-1 Triple Shot Flat Pickup Mounting Ring:

I have one of these in a project strat that has a Fernandez sustainer at the neck position and a Duncan JB at the bridge. The main reason I used the TS-1 was because the JB leads were about two inches long. The other reason was that I wanted to get some degree of single coil-ness out of my strat. For the most part the Triple Shot met both needs. I haven't found myself using the split/single coil options much - they sound a little disingenuous, if that makes any sense. But that probably has more to do with the JB than the TS-1. I've had it in for about three years now and had no problems. A nice surprise given the abuse this guitar takes.

Sure the build quality is a little wonky - the plastic is warping somewhat. But it gets the job done. And it looks a hell of a lot better than a bank of toggle switches.

    Poor Quality Control

Comments about Seymour Duncan TS-1 Triple Shot Flat Pickup Mounting Ring:

Save your money for pp pots or switches.
Cheap plastic. The ring's ok if you want a cheesy looking guitar. On one, the board wasn't attached
and other had a loose ribbon that came off. Seymour Duncan products now made in China? Very disappointing. Way over priced for about 50 cents worth of material.
