Comments about Seymour Duncan TS-1s Triple Shot Flat Pickup Mounting Ring Set:
I recently installed 2 pairs of P-Rails with triple shot rings in a 70's Ibanez doubleneck. The P-rails are excellent, and all 4 combos offered by the Triple Shots are useful. Working the different combinations of parallel, series, P90 and rail gives you tones from Les Paul to Casino to Strat and Telel to lo-fi. In many ways it's easier to use than a Variax, and still provides versatility. The 12-string comes close to the Rickenbacker gold standard. I have a 360/12, so I could make a real comparison.
My only concern is the flimsy material used for the P-rails. After a quick and very easy installation, they appeared less flimsy, but the switches do not instill faith in years of trouble free performance. Hopefully, Seymour will step back and do the next batch in a hardier material/design. The concept is great, but I am confident I will be forced to replace these in the near future. Still great idea, glad I purchased.

These rings are smaller than my EPI -LP Originals..I had to drill new mount holes in the Guitar..They do work as advertized...
Comments about Seymour Duncan TS-1s Triple Shot Flat Pickup Mounting Ring Set:
I just got these, along with some Seymour Duncan P-rails, for my semi-hollow homemade Tele-like guitar. The concept is absolutely fantastic. I love being able to get so many sounds out of a set of humbuckers without having to drill more holes in the guitar. The switches are conveniently located, yet unobtrusive. Well done, SD.Now, the build quality. Lousy. Seriously, as a pickup mounting ring these things are ridiculous. The plastic is rubbery soft. I couldn't screw in the mounting screws beyond just barely snug because the ring itself would bulge out of shape with just a bit of pressure on it. The switches do not inspire confidence for their longevity either. I'd love to see these in metal or at least a rigid, heavier duty plastic. My guitars get played, not abused, so they'll probably stand up for a while for me. If your guitars take some shots, I'd think you'd want to get some backups because I certainly wouldn't call these things "road worthy".All that said, I'm happy with them. The quality is disappointing, but what they offer is just so excellent. Coupled with the P-rails (about which I have no complaint whatsoever), they offer a huge palette of sounds at your fingertips.
