OVERVIEW

Cool looking and convenient.

The TAL-1 Talon Guitar Stand is designed for thin-bodied instruments such as solidbody electric guitars or basses. It features a unique design which protects it from damage. If the stand is stepped on, or otherwise forced beyond its normal open position, the 2 parts are designed to separate rather than break. They are easily rejoined in seconds, and the Talon is as good as new. The Talon folds with one hand in a single motion. When folded, it is about an inch thick at its thickest point and easily fits in the pouch of most gig bags.

Great product

We use these to display our guitars on banquet buffets - the product is stable and holds guitars even when guests bump the tables.

I purchased one of these from Musicians Friend and found it fairly useless. I won't even use it in my home studio let along out live. Maybe it's better suited for guitars. All I know is that when I tried to use it for my Fender basses it wiggles...it wobbles and seems to sway in the breeze where there is no breeze. Nice idea just not solid or something I feel I could trust my gear to.

Comments about Shubb Talon A-Frame Electric Guitar Stand:

Bought this stand several months ago to have something simple and efficient to gig with. Great on both counts. Also makes for a cool conversation piece. We can't decide if it looks like a mid-evil weapon, or an x-wing fighter. Cool product! Durable construction, efficient space saver, cradles my Peavy Bass perfectly, defends rebel base from the dark side. Does it all!!

I was in need of a stand for both guitar and bass and came across this one. I couldn't believe how small it was! And totally cool looking too. Very rawk. Works great with both my p-bass and strats/teles..

A good, solid piece. Made of good material and has a smart design to it. Should last for a long as you can keep from running over it with a vehicle or such. Holds my strat very well.

I needed a stand for my 2 in 1 touchscreen laptop
because I can view tabs in the portrait angle I need this to hold the laptop in that position.
It works excellent for laptops up to 17".
              holds guitars well also

Comments about Shubb Talon A-Frame Electric Guitar Stand:

This has been a great stand for my needs. It holds my Strat or my mando very nicely. Folds flat enough for a gig bag and seems pretty durable and balanced. I recommend this stand based on it's features and it's price. I like it.

I use this stand for my LP Junior. Fits snug as a bug, looks cool and occupies very little space! I am using this stand in my home and cannot comment regarding its use for the stage. Would not hesitate to purchase another. Very happy with it!

Great for Strat, NOT for Les Paul

              By Tonefish

              from Albuquerque, NM

Comments about Shubb Talon A-Frame Electric Guitar Stand:

I really like this stand as long as I was using it for my Strat or PRS, then I started using it for a Les Paul and the darn thing sticks to it. The cradle geometry makes it grip the body of the Les Paul, so each time you pick up the guitar, the stand is stucl to it. I don't think it would be much trouble for the maker to fix...hopefully they will. THen its 9s and 10s.

              Awesome Stand

              By YoYoScout

              from Lubbock, TX

Comments about Shubb Talon A-Frame Electric Guitar Stand:

I've had this stand for about a year and a half. It is my favorite stand and continuously cradles my Tele. It's easy to use, easy pack, well designed and stable for electric guitars. It's way easier to pack than my fender stands. I have had one problem with the rubber breaking off the supports. It's just a minor design flaw. I would definitely buy another if I had another guitar to put on it.

Comments about Shubb Talon A-Frame Electric Guitar Stand:

Not only is it a great stand but I also never tire of hearing others try to figure out what the H E double hockey sticks it is. After a few drinks we come up with different ideas for uses. Battle Axe, Joystck of an X-Wing fighter etc...It is totally portable and sturdy. Allow for a few minutes for your drummer to figure out which way it sits on the floor during set-up. Very Practical Product. Folds up and slides right into a larger gig bag or even in the side of your cord tub. Works good for Basses as well as regular Guitars.

Comments about Shubb Talon A-Frame Electric Guitar Stand:

Doesn't offer much support for my P-Bass. Has fallen off this stand a few times. It's nice and small, easy to carry around, but doesn't work for my bass. Probably better suited for a light weight guitar.

Comments about Shubb Talon A-Frame Electric Guitar Stand:

Perfect guitar stand to keep in your case. Highly recommended for Strats/Teles and other slim solidbody guitars. I think they should make a larger model for all basses. The breakaway feature is very smart. This stand does what it is supposed to do, is unobtrusiveand cooly compact. BUY ONE!

Just got this in the mail the other day and have tried it with all my basses (several fenders and Carvin). Holds them all tight and securely. I don?t know if I?d trust the stand with a ?65 all original Jazz bass, but for most everything else, it works great.

I've tried just about every guitar stand on the market and this this is HOT!Superb for single displays on solid body guitars.I'm currently using it for a 1275 (Epiphone Double-Neck with Gibson machine heads) and it still does the job despite the added weight in the headstocks. Can't beat if for the price and it takes up almost no space (fits in the stowage compartment of the 1275 EASILY!)MarkPEl Paso

Comments about Shubb Talon A-Frame Electric Guitar Stand:

Hey now... I have had this object for over 7 years now an have stopped using it. I never liked it much because my axes always touched the stage floor @ the bottom and I could never get 'em balanced with the guitar cord plugged in.Mine finally fell apart and won't stay together. I will be trying the hercules mini stands and Calling MF to ask WTF is going on with this stand and get my $ back if they will.I gig every weekend in juke joints and watering holes in tight, dark spaces and can't have a POS stand falling apart and dropping my Suhr Std or TA drop top.

              Shubb Talon guitar stand

              By dan gautier

              from North Carolina

Comments about Shubb Talon A-Frame Electric Guitar Stand:

Price is a lttle high for its quality, plastic is a little thin. Guitar will stay firmly in place unless it takes a pretty good hit. It works great though and is nice and compact. Doesnt take up much room on the floor. I have had a hard time finding the stand that I really love made by K&M. So this one is my second choice and it does a good job. Finally, It looks really Cool !!!
Compact, keeps guitar firmly in place .
Plastic seems a little flimsy but still keeps guitar held firmly in place and upright at the angle that I like.
I think that this stand is a little overpriced for its quality, but again, it does the job and is compact and holds and electric guitar upright on the stand at the angle that I like.
