I've used these strings since I started playing nearly 5 years ago and I stray from them once then pu them back on 2 days later. Theses strings are not only amazing for the crazy cheap price but they are good for any price. I use a Schecter hellraiser FR and everyone who uses a floys knows it can play hell with strings. Theses don't even flinch. I used Ernie's and Di's and nothing holds up like these do. I have yet to have them break on me and over all the years I've used them I only got 1 bad pack with one bad string in it. I used to buy the ones made for Floyed Rose from a local shop but i was paying 25 a pack until they added them on here for this great low price. I suggest these strings highly not only for people with Floyds but for every guitar. Bend whammy do what ever you want. As long as your guitar isn't messed up you will never have a tunning issue.

Well i got a set of these strings less than a week ago to replace 2 that i'd broken. At first i was thrilled with the quality and the sound. However i did have to tune my strat about 12 times within a half hour of putting the strings on. Well getting to the point i've only had them for mayb 5 days and already one has broken. And it was in tune (not to tight) and i wasn't playing very roughly. DO NOT BUY THESE STRINGS. they do not last. I don't plan on buying them ever again and i wouldn't recommend it to anyone that doesn't want to replace them in a few days.

Comments about SIT Strings S1046 Power Nickel Electric Guitar Strings:

I have been using S.I.T. strings exclusively for nearly fifteen years. I have tried lots of others (Ernie Ball, D'addarrio, Fender) and NOTHING matches these strings. They stay in tune from second number one and are very slow to drop out of tune; other brands I have used require a "break-in" period of several hours while re-tuning every five minutes or so until they reach a sweet spot and sound great until they start to get dirty and crud up. S.I.T. strings sound great and hit that tuning sweet spot right away - no break-in period needed. The strings are strong and long-lasting; the company includes an extra 1st and 2nd string (the two smallest) in every box of strings in case you break one. I have a history of breaking one or both of these strings with other brands; I have a pack of about twenty S.I.T. 1st & 2nd "extra" strings because I have NEVER broken an S.I.T. string in fifteen years of playing with them. I do not plan on ever using another brand of strings on ANY of my guitars (bass included).

Comments about SIT Strings S1046 Power Nickel Electric Guitar Strings:

I was never big on the "stay in tune" selling point of these strings...but they do for the most part....usually if people have issues with them staying in tune it is a guitar issue. I have never been a fan of the "twang" and metallic sound of new strings. Strings always sound better when broken in. These sound broken in (not dead or flat sounding) right away...I love the sound of these strings and have been using them for over twenty years on FR and fixed bridges.

These strings definitely do not stay in tune. I would not recommend these strings to anyone due the the poorly constructed strings wound process and the very dead sounding strings. These strings may be the worst string I have ever put on my instrument and will never buy these again. Don't waste your money because they don't stay in tune at all. Don't fall for the cool slogans these are junk.

Comments about SIT Strings S1046 Power Nickel Electric Guitar Strings:

Very satisfied playing SIT strings for electrics and acoustics over the past several years. Works well either on studio gigs or strenuous concert touring. The phosphor Bronze sets offer great tonality for acoustic chores. The electric sets hold amazingly in tune by heavy bending and pulling on BLUES track solos. SIT strings became an essential part of my arsenal.

Comments about SIT Strings S1046 Power Nickel Electric Guitar Strings:

Got a set of these and replaced the 6th string with an 0.048" one to match the Willie Adler Signature set (at a lower price).

As a lifelong Ernie Ball user and current Dunlop fanboy, it was very pleasing to have a set of strings that was immediately ready for use on tuning. About 1.5 windings around the tuning peg on the wound strings and about 2 windings around the tuning peg for the plain strings and they were ready for takeoff.

What surprised me most about these strings was that they, well, they Stay In Tune. I spent hours bending and thrashing away trying to get the strings to go out of tune and it took a LOT of work to get them just a little out of tune.

What disappointed me was that if the strings had much more than the windings mentioned, they would go out of tune with ease. Had to restring that 6th string to remove slack (afterwards, it was all E all the time). Also, the strings are quite warm, so they needed help on a mahogany guitar (help with more brightness is always a Dunlop 477P505 Primetones pick away).

Still, though, a semi-finicky warm string that is ready before the excess is nipped off the tuning pegs and stays in tune through hours of ham-handed idiocy is a very nice string.

I've been using Gibson strings and was not satisfied with all the streach I was getting. I soldered the acher end of these SIT strings like I normally do on all my re-stringing and the next day I was thrilled to find my guitar still in tune. I didn't even have to per-streach these new strings. Just like the name SIT (stay-in-tune).

If you were to ever compile a list of the best electric guitar strings available, then S.I.T. Power Wound strings would have to be in the Top 3. So, if you're shopping for strings to experiment with then you MUST consider these.

Comments about SIT Strings S1046 Power Nickel Electric Guitar Strings:

Overall, I love these (SIT) strings and their quality and their value is unbeatable at Musicians Friends prices.
These have been my favorite strings for along time. Once they are stretched properly, they tend to stay in tune very well. Great sounding strings. This is the only brand I buy.
These are really great quality guitar strings. Have used them a long time and love them. The tone seems to last a long time, also.
The price Musicians Friend charges for these strings is fantastic. If I would buy them locally, the would cost $8.00 to $10.00 per pack or more. There is abslutely no complaints from me about the value of the strings when bought at Musicians Friend.
