Comments about 1SKB-R5220W Roto Molded 76-Note Keyboard Case:

Case described perfectly. It's made of plastic but very tough plastic. Would not place heavy equipment on top of it laying horizontally like a Marshall Stack because it does bend in a little. Inside is foam and Velcro adjustable corners so you can probably fit a slightly bigger keyboard inside and if you do lay something on it horizontally probably won't do not harm because of the foam interior. For an inexpensive hard case this is the one.

Comments about 1SKB-R5220W Roto Molded 76-Note Keyboard Case:

Purchased this for a Kronos X73. The case was not quite high enough to fit the Kronos, it bowed out a bit. While it does have casters (which helps only if you have a flat surface without stairs), there is only one handle, and no strap. The Kronos weighs about 45lbs. When you add the weight of the case, it was way too heavy to carry. Overall, I just thought it was far too bulky to be a practical solution. It might be OK for a lightweight keyboard under 30lbs...

    Older skb case is better

Comments about 1SKB-R5220W Roto Molded 76-Note Keyboard Case:

I have an old SKB Keyboard that I bought 10 years ago and I love It. I just bought a new all plastic case two months ago and one wheel already broke off and the inside plastic holders that hold the keyboard in place are broken already.I think plastic case is a mistake.

    Interesting medium-duty case

    By Esh

Comments about 1SKB-R5220W Roto Molded 76-Note Keyboard Case:

Hard to decide if I like this case or not. Interesting features: latches are different but appear to be good, velcro/corner cleat system for holding keyboards is clever, the case seems sturdy but not as sturdy as a standard SKB cases. None the less the case is stronger than a softcase and is probably indestructable. The plastic is much thinner and lighter than regular SKB's but it holds the keyboard securely. This case does not close as securely as regular SKG's but will likely protect against moderate rain. Wheels seem sturdy. The Roto-Molded SKB case is somewhere between a standard SKB case and a softcase - it's a good value considering the price but it's a little flimsier than you might expect. I wouldn't stack other gear on top of it but for local gigging it'll probably do just fine.
