Recenty I purchased a Yamaha APX-T2 3/4 size hollow body acoustic/electric guitar. The only drawback was that Yamaha does not make a hardshell case for it. I tried cases from several venders and almost gave up until I found this SKB Baby Martin case. This case is designed to fit a Baby Taylor or a Baby Martin. But to my surprise it also fits my Yamaha APX-T2 3/4 size hollow body perfectly. I couldn't be more pleased.

This is a Very nice guitar case that was not very well QC'd from the factory. The problem was not caught at M.F's shipping department either. They simply receive boxed products and then label and ship to you. The alignment and molding of the case was not right, for that reason the latch in that area will not close without a lot of pressure on the case. The plastic or the back hinges are also not connected quite right. This makes one of only three latches not real functional. Not sure how SKB could not catch this. It is very visible. This case is for my son's school guitar lesson's. It is very difficult for him to be able to close this latch. It would cost me forty more to send and receive another case. Not worth the money, so we'll just have to live with this defect. In hind sight, I'd should have payed thirty more in town to buy this case. Did not think I could have a a issue to buy a case online. Shame on me.

Comments about SKB-300 Baby Taylor Case:

I purchased this case for one of the Little Martin (LMX) guitars that my daughter owns. She has both the Ed Sheeran and the RealTree editions. Because this case was only advertised for the Baby Taylor, I contacted MF customer service for assurance that it would fit the Martin. The fit is very snug and very, very close to perfect. I haven't figured out why this case is marketed only for the Baby Taylor and not for the Little Martin. It would certainly help customers to have the ad list the case as also fitting Little Martin.

Comments about SKB-300 Baby Taylor Case:

Really good fit for a Little Martin LMX1e with all the sturdiness expected from an SKB case. Ends up being only a little bigger than a regular roll-aboard suitcase so fits great in the overhead bin.

I would recommend the case but I'd suggest purchasing elsewhere.

Comments about SKB-300 Baby Taylor Case:

I purchased this case for my Alvarez MSD1 to protect it when traveling. This is one fine case. The cover opens and closes easily, the latches latch tight and the hinges are tight. A small modification is needed for the Alvarez MSD1. You must take a small pair of pliers and compress the foam where the end pin goes so the guitar can slide down into the case. That's it. You are getting a great case for the price.

          Disappointed !!!

Comments about SKB-300 Baby Taylor Case:

I just got this case today for my Mini Martin. The lid and base don't line up, two of the three latches are not lining up right and their connection to the case is bent out. The handle has the same issue - poor attachement. The case had several SMALL dents around the aluminum rim. To top it off, the SKB sticker was half hanging off. Don't have time to send it back before a road trip. Just have to live with it. Totally disappointed. Not worth the money. Not like the SKB I have for my Dreadnaught. Stick with your gig bag!

Comments about SKB-300 Baby Taylor Case:

I bought this case from Musician?s Friend for my Little Martin LX1E because I did not like the gig bag that came with it or any gig bag for that matter. I was unsure that it would fit correctly because it is for a Baby Taylor. At first this seems to be true. The padding where the neck heel rests was too thick. All you have to do is stretch this area with your fingers until it makes a pocket and the guitar will fit nice and tight. After the case breaks in a little bit, it is a perfect fit! The picture M.F. has up is the wrong one. It is a much nicer case than the one shown and you can find a picture of it on SKB?s website. This case is as nice as any full size case and I would recommend it to anyone doing serious traveling and like me, does not trust a gig bag.:-)

Comments about SKB-300 Baby Taylor Case:

I bought one of these for my Little Martin LX1 and found it to be an amazing case. My wife has a Luna Safari Nylon. I put her guitar in the case and it too fit like a glove. We take the Luna Safari and my Little Martin whenever we go away so we can practice. When you can get one of these on sale what an amazing buy! ONE NOTE: This will only fit the Luna Safari NYLON - NOT the Safari's with steel strings

The storage compartment is small but it is a small case. We can put our straps and capo in the compartment. I can put an extra set of strings in the head section underneath the head of the guitar. On the Luna you do not have room for a set of extra strings. At least not if they remain in the pkg.

We've had not problem with the case closing and in my opinion very well made, sturdy and with the travel guitars the whole pkg is light.

Comments about SKB-300 Baby Taylor Case:

To date (July 2013), Martin does not make a hardcase for the Little Martin. While this case is often considered a Baby Taylor case, it fits the Little Martin like a glove. The case came in what appeared like a very light, black, burlap bag within a larger cardboard box. There were a number of scuff marks on the case itself. While that didn't bother me much (with used it's going to get more), I was concerned it was a used case. Interior inspections suggest it was new but no one can be 100% sure.
As for the case, the hidden storage is rather small approx. 7in x 3in x 2in. It's great to keep your capo, picks, and other minor items, but if you like to store your strap in there, it's going to be a VERY tight fit. I have read that people didn't like how the case rattles when it's close, for lack of a proper fit, however I didn't notice this problem and it seems like my Little Martin is pretty secure in it (I shook it pretty hard for a minute to see if I can hear it move).
Overall I'm happy with the case. It's likely you will be using this as a travel guitar if you bother getting a hardshell case. The last thing you need is announcing to the world it's either a Martin or a Taylor in there and gets it stolen.
