This case is way to small to carry your drum hardware. I bought this case to replace gig bags that I have been using to carry my drum hardware b/c the soft cases keep breaking down after a few months. The dimensions for this case are misleading b/c they measure the outside of the case. The usable space inside the case in nowhere near what the dimensions claim. This case could barely hold my hi-hat and snare stand. I bought this hoping to carry my Pearl rack and other accessories. Not even close. Very disappointed and now I have to pay to have it shipped back. Do your research before buying one of these!
Play golf? That what this case was made for; traveling golfers. If you happen to be a drummer who plays golf, then you already know that drum hardware weighs a lot more than golf clubs. I have used this case for both purposes. Of the seven SKB cases I have owned, all of them but one had cheap riveted handles that fell off during use. SKB rivets directly into this plastic material without even using reinforcement washers! Well, after the first few failures, I just drilled out every handle, replaced the cheapo rivets with steel nuts and bolts that ware backed up by large washers, lock washers and sealed with lock-tite. Since I've done that, I haven't had a single failure. So, if you aren't afraid of a little handy-work, have tools and don't mind doing the manufacturer's work for them because they use the cheapest fastest joining system they can, then you can make a good case out of any SKB product. That includes this overgrown golf-club bag.
