I have been playing for almost 50 years, but NEVER with a pick. I could never keep one between the thumb and finger. After wearing my fingernail out, I decided to try using a pick. When I saw these, I thought it was a great idea, so I bought a box of three. I like it, but will have to get used to using a pick. I have even given a friend one to try. I think it's gonna work great when I finally get used to it. I wish they had different sizes though.

This is a good idea. I ordered the medium picks. I'm not sure if that is the fingrt size or the stiffness of the pick. I can tell you that the "medium" is very tight on my long thin finger. I'm going to boil one and see if I can expand it a little. When I first tried one, there was something bothering me about the feel of the pick. It was nice to not be having the pick slide around in my fingers, but something just didn't feel right. I then realized that the point of the pick is pointing straight out from my index finger. Most people I know hold the pick with the index finger slightly pointing back toward the palm of the hand. You can't do that with these things. There needs to be a slight offset on the angle of the picking part of the pick.

I've been playing guitars for fifty years and am a former pro guitarist. Arthritis has been creeping up on me slowly and in the last few years I've been unable to hold on to a pick, resorting to the use of my fingers and fingernails. I stumbled upon these picks while browsing MF, trying again to find a pick I could hold on to. There are all pros and no cons here. These things gave back the pleasure of being able to use a pick again. Any guitarist from beginner to pro won't need a pick holder anymore, since you won't be dropping your pick anymore! You will love these as I do. Get some.

I've been playing a guitar for over 50 years and still can't hold on to a flat pick! (That's probably why I learned to finger pick with a variety of finger picks!).
But the Snake Pick has changed it all! It took about 10 seconds to get used to it. Seriously, this pick has improved my flat picking considerably, including giving me a much needed boost in confidence to try some new flat pick stuff that I would never have considered before.
The only problem is that Musician's Friend does not include enough info about them, which making ordering difficult. They say there are 4 gauges, but when you order there is no choice for the gauge, only the size. I ordered the Large size (I have short and somewhat fat fingers) and they fit, perhaps just a little loose, and I'm assuming the 4 gauges mentioned mean that the Small is the lightest gauge, the Medium the next higher gauge, etc. That would make the Large size a 17mm gauge, which is just fine for me.
The home site has them broken down by size and gauge, so you might want to check them out. I was ordering a new mic stand from MF and just decided to go ahead and order the Snake Picks.
All I can say is I love them, and it's the only flat pick that I will be using for the rest of my picking days!
There's really nothing to compare these to, except a regular flat pick, and they win thumbs up over a standard flat pick, for my needs.
Unlike a regular flat picks which you can lose in a heart beat, this pick stays with you the entire gig!

I have been lookin' for this pick for a long time. My arthritis in my hands has been getting
to a point, that I was having problems of holding a triangler pick (on the up stroke usually)
tightly. This new snake pick doesn't move (make sure to order the correct size) and I can
enjoy playing again. This pick feels like it's part of my hand, super pick. Thanks.
