Comments about Snap Jack Instrument Cable:
I was given my first Snap Jack as a gift from a musician friend. I was skeptical. But I have to say Snap Jack is the best instrument cable I've used. I play in a cover band and our setlist runs the gamut from 50's to heavy metal. So I switch guitars alot. Snap Jack makes it all a breeze. Noise free, great sound, easy! What more do you want. My bass player started using them and it saved his high end Fender. Some drunk chick grabbed his cord and tried to rip it out of his bass. His Snap Jack released like it was designed and his bass survived without a scratch! The magnets are very strong. They do not release unless you want them too.
Comments about Snap Jack Instrument Cable:
Great idea , but not so great in real life ! Don't know how many times I bumped these and they came undone. If you run your cables thru your strap from your guitar, when they come loose(and they will) the heavy end swings around like a wrecking ball leaving some HUGE ugly dents in my nice finishes before I can grab it which I'm sure isn't a warranty deal ! They sound good and are made well they just come apart at ALL the wrong times FOR ME. So a BIG NO from me. I'll stick with good ol' solid soldered end thank you and this one will be a NON-MOVING pedalboard cord from now on. Musicians Friend is KEEPING AMERICA ROCKIN' !
Comments about Snap Jack Instrument Cable:
My dughter received this cable as a prize at a rock_n-roll summer camp. This is, without a doubt, the best cable I have ever used. I have been playing bass and guitar for over 35 years, and have spent hundreds of dollars on cables. My next purchase will include a couple of these cables. (She won't let me keep hers.)
Comments about Snap Jack Instrument Cable:
Just bought one of these cables the other day, and I must say that they are incredible! With the extra tips, you have the ability to switch guitars without the annoying fuzz and buzz you get with standard cables. And they're really thick too (that's what she said), which gives you quite a bit of reassurance as to the durability of these cables. And they're just so cool to play with too. Granted, I do agree that they're rather quite expensive, but think of these cables as an investment in the safety of your guitars, and also as a time/crowd saver. All in all, these cables are definately something to look into if you want a high end professional cable.
Comments about Snap Jack Instrument Cable:
I was skeptical in ordering these. I thought the claims weren't true, and was especially worried about the strength of the magnets and whether the cable would be quiet, free of hum, and offer the soundless connects and disconnects promised.A few months later, NO PROBLEM! The cable qualiy is excellent, the magnets are very strong, and pulling the jack apart or letting it snap back to a connection is completely quiet on my rig (Guild Starfire II->Tech 21 Trademark 60 or Vox DA-5).Like probably most of us, I spend a lot more time practicing at home than playing out. My GF puts up with it pretty well, but I felt bad about the snapping and popping disconnects, and lived in fear of someone tripping over a cable and toppling my rare axe, and sick of the hum on the cables I was using. This cable has solved all those problems at once, and I'd buy another in a heartbeat. I say they are worth the slight extra cost. One small con: the jack body seems ready to unscrew itself a little too easily. If this bothers you it could be easily solved by a small dot of clear nail polish, or any other method you want to use to add a little friction to the threads. It's possible this is just my particular cable. Definitely no reason not to buy.
