I am a gigging professional that has been searching for a great tuner. I have found it. Just wish I would have had this years ago. I love that it stays clipped to my headstock and that I position it behind the headstock so the crowd doesn't even realize it is there. Very discrete. Also MUCH less time spent tuning in between songs which equals very happy fans! No one likes waiting on "that guy" tuning his guitar every song. DON'T BE THAT GUY! The rest of my band is ditching their pricey tuners and getting this!
Has more features than most will ever need. Transpose mode allows easy "capo" tunings on the fly. Chromatic allows you to tune each string to whatever note you choose, therefore allowing "alternate" tunings. Metronome is a VERY nice feature for rehearsal. VERY easy and fast to operate.
Quality is very good. When clipped on the headstock, it doesn't move. And I'm a VERY energetic performer. The accuracy rivals almost every tuner I have used, except some very high end strobe tuners that cost thousands. Currently I own Boss, Digitech, Korg, and several other pedal tuners. Was trying to find "THE tuner" that was accurate enough for my discriminating ear and fast. Even with subs rumbling and guitars blaring, this tuner tracks accurately and allows me to tune mid song if needed with NO issues whatsoever. This tuner has DEFINATELY made tuning easier, faster, and MUCH more accurate.
Literally an amazing value. I would easily have paid double for this and been happy paying it.

If it wasn't for the goofy and inelegant way the Snark handles calibration I would have given this five stars. For those who only tune to 440 Hz this won't be an issue. For those who tune to something other than 440 you may want to consider something else.
For someone like me, who tunes to 432 the Snark is a bit clunky. It recalibrates itself to 440 every time it is turned off and on. It also recalibrates itself to 440 every time the calibration button on the back of it is pressed. Note that when the Snark is powered on it does not display the calibration frequency. When the calibration button on the back is pressed it resets itself to 440 Hz and "440" pops up on the lower right side of the display. In order to recalibrate you have to press the (+) or (-) buttons on the back. As you do the display readout changes to show its current calibration. This is fairly easy to do by feel.
Unfortunately, someone tuning to 432 Hz has to make 10 button presses every time the tuner is turned back on. If someone wanted to tune to 415 Hz it would require 27 button presses every time the tuner was turned on. It would have made a lot more sense to always have the calibration frequency show on the display and to simply have it default to whatever tuning was last used when it is powered up.

Comments about Snark Clip-On Chromatic Guitar Tuner:
If you've never used one of these, you need one. Clip it on the end of your guitar, and if you leave it on, you can check a string instantly to ensure that it's tune.
Or when tuning all your strings when you start, you can do so no matter what sounds are around you, including other musicians tuning their instruments. I keep two of these with me at all times. If someone else is trying to tune with an open air tuner, I just hand them a Snark so we can both tune at the same time.

Comments about Snark Clip-On Chromatic Guitar Tuner:
I have been a beginner guitar player for a long time. In the past I could never dedicate time to practice. These days I have plenty of extra time on my hands and am finally working toward my dream of being able to play a guitar. The Snark is the perfect accessory for me because it is so easy to use, and that allows me to always have a perfectly tuned guitar to practice on.

I have tried several other brands and find this to my liking over others. Easy to use and view. But, I have not owned it over an extended period of time. So, I can't speak to its long-term reliability. But, it's been excellent thus far.

Comments about Snark Clip-On Chromatic Guitar Tuner:
Many of my friends use a Snark tuner, so when I bought mine I already knew it would be great. It's especially nice because on Musician's Friend it's half the price I've seen it anywhere else. It can be stored in small places and it's incredibly accurate. I recommend this tuner to anyone with a stringed instrument.
NOTE: I ordered this tuner with a few other things, and it unfortunately arrived broken. However a quick and friendly phone call to Musician's Friend had everything sorted out. They gave me postage to send the damaged tuner back, and although it took about a week and a half, they sent me a replacement free of additional charge. Musician's Friend is by far my favorite place for music gear. They have the best prices, and absolutely wonderful customer service.
