So far seem great, Been a Dunlop tortex user for many years, and wanted to try something new. The advertising claims seem to be at cross purposes- "polished 30 hours", "no slip grip". So the question becomes, how can something polished for 30 hours not be so super smooth and slick that it slips from your fingers? It's weird like they have a sticker (it's not) on the front which is just rough enough to enable the grip. How is something like that not removed after 30 hours of polishing? No idea.
Anyway, it's only been a week, but really liking these so far, and do not get dropped very often (so the grip is good) As far as the other claim "eliminates string drag"- nothing noticed there, if it does, I can't tell. I've tried many things to help prevent pick slippage over the years, cutting grooves with a knife, scratching the surface, tried the Dunlop max grip picks, all work to prevent slippage, but the feel of the pick is not good. These seem to have both (so far- it's only been a week) Consider trying them out!

I have used Dunlop tortex picks for the majority of my guitar playing days, and the Teddy Roosevelt thing kinda intrigued me. The pictures are somewhat decieving, the pattern is only on the front of the pick, with a sort of non slip texture, while the back is just plain. Is however what it says it is, a faux tortoise pick. For the price they are not bad, and the marketing is quite cool, so I am not entirely dissapointed.

Comments about Snark Teddy's Neo Tortoise Guitar Picks:

I like the bright highs acquired with Tortoise picks, but for myself, a little hard to hold securely. This pick is an improvement in grip but the tone is not as bright as claimed. On acoustic, side by side it has a full sound, but lacks the same high treble ring.

Comments about Snark Teddy's Neo Tortoise Guitar Picks:

I was skeptical that after all these years, and all these different types of pick, that anyone could come up with a new, improved technology. The whimsical advertising and the promises made, with a very reasonable price, was enough for me to try a set—and I was absolutely amazed and delighted. On a steel string acoustic, they definitely sound better than any other of the many types of pick I've collected over the years. They slide more easily over the strings, facilitate fast picking and deliver a great tone! I've never had a problem with dropped picks, so the non-slip surface was not an issue for me, but it definitely feels good and contributes to picking confidence. Nice job, Snark!

They really do sound better than Tortex!

Comments about Snark Teddy's Neo Tortoise Guitar Picks:

I'd been using Dunlop Tortex .60mm for years, but after playing and hearing the difference with these Snark .63mm pics, I have switched. I swear it's not my imagination, I did a lot of a/b testing, and they really do make my tone better. Lead notes sound rounder and fatter.
They wear about as fast as Tortex, so I am happy with the durability. I get one gig (usually three one hour sets) out of one pic and then toss it in the trash.
        I love these picks!

Comments about Snark Teddy's Neo Tortoise Guitar Picks:

These picks feel and sound good. I play acoustic and like a heavy pick so I ordered the 1.07s. I've been using Collings extra heavy picks, but the Snarks are less expensive.

Just plain old cheap plastic picks with a sticker on only one side that has a textured surface. As opposed to Dunlop Tortex or Ultex picks where the whole pick is made of a slip resistant textured material.

A pick is a pick, but I would agree that the grip is better without that rubbery texture some picks have.

While I was initially disappointed in the appearance of these picks, I am impressed by the quality. They are very smooth and seem to hold that smoothness a little better than Dunlop ultex and nylons, though not quite at well as wegen picks. The tone is less articulate than I expected, but there is a lack of pick noise that is nice. All in all a nice cheap pick, but I'm not sure it will become my main pick, Dunlop ultex just seems to sound better.
