These stands are OK if you can't afford heavy-duty stands, or if you're looking for a light-weight boom stand. I'm not too sure how well the wing-screws will hold up. The threaded part where the cymbal sits could be a little heavier. Overall, you get what you pay for.
Nothing Bad about this stand. I didn't give it a perfect 10 b/c there are other stands out there that are much better than this one. Not too expensive, either. I've had mine for about 18 months, and it's still in perfect condition. Not the best, but if you don't want to spend too much $, this is perfect for you.
I got this stand free with a cymbal and I use it for a 20" Zildjian Heavy Ride and it works very well. I am thinking about buying the straight cymbal stand too. Good Job to Sonor.
These stands are rock solid!!!(especially when the legs are at 45 degrees) and great for even my 22" ride. The only bad thing is they are small and you can't really place them were you want, but I haven't had any problems with them
I just received my stand and I can't believe what I got. I have several sonor 400 series stands, and I've seen several 200 series stands and none of them have looked like this. The legs are different. The wing nuts are different and do not say sonor on them. The actual shaft of the stand does not have a 200 series sticker on it, and in fact nowhere on the stand can I find the name Sonor. For the $ it's an ok stand, but it's not the quality of any Sonor product I've seen.
I use have several of thease stands. I only use sonor mini boom. It holds up my huge 21 in. ride easily. I have been playing for almost 7 years and I've been in many bands. The best stand you can get for the price. I would highly recommend it.
I have a 20 inch ride on this stand, and have the boom extended out almost all the way, and have never had any problems with it tipping or falling over. It's very steady, and reaches out pretty good with it's boom, and can be extended out a good distance. I'm going to buy another to replace a crappy straight stand that I bought for my crash.
