Excellent quality, especially for $36! I've owned Pearl, Tama, Ludwig and Yamaha gear in the past and I see no reason to buy a 'Brand Name' stand. This Sound Percussion straight stand is being used solely for my Paragon 22" ride, though I'm sure I could throw more at it. It's certainly up to the task for that! I was just looking for a cheap straight stand and I found this one. The clamps are solid, as is the tilter, and, of course, it's double-braced. Nothing is loose or rattles. Why pay over $150 for a stand when you can buy one that does the job just as well for a measly $36??? I would recomment this stand to anyone who needs a straight stand.

For the price, you might think this is a deal, but ours lasted just three months before the steel post sheered clean through. Like a lot of Chinese-made steel, the materials used here are inferior, weak. Spend more, get better quality and the assurance that your gear will stand up to routine wear-and-tear, and that it will be reliable. After all, reliability is what you're paying for.

Comments about Sound Percussion SP880CS Double-Braced Cymbal Stand:

For a mere $35, this stand can't be outdone, its quality is excellent for the price; solid yet light, double-braced for more range and versatility, and huge feet connected to long legs for maximum stability. This is a heavy duty piece of equipment, it holds up my Wuhan 16" china and Agazarian 12" mini-china (stacked)just fine, no wobbling at all. You can't go wrong with this stand!

Comments about Sound Percussion SP880CS Double-Braced Cymbal Stand:

This is a great cymbal stand! I was very impressed with it. It is a three section stand, with very thick tubing and a nice sturdy tripod that can spread way wide if you want it to. I was also impressed with the spring-loaded "gearless" tilter. For all of it's well built sturdiness, it is surprisingly lightweight. It was lighter than my Yamaha 600 series cymbal stand (Yamaha's lightest model), but the Sound Percussion stand had much thicker tubing and a better tripod, but with less weight! You can't go wrong with this stand: Sturdiness, quality, yet lighter than most other cymbal stands. Honestly, just by looking at this stand, you think it would weigh twice as much as it does, but it surprisingly doesn't (and I mean that in a very good way)! This is just as sturdy and has as thick of tubing as those Pulse stands that MF used to sell, but weigh about 50% less! I highly recommend this stand to anyone!

Comments about Sound Percussion SP880CS Double-Braced Cymbal Stand:

i bought this at guitar center wear i bought my slipknot core set which are B.A. but the stand is very very durable it has allot of height adjustments and it hold up my 18" black rock crash without it wobbling at all. But! i highly recommend that you buy the sound percussion (SP) boom cymbal arm cause they can be adjusted allot more but it is the same price as this so, better stand for better price.

Comments about Sound Percussion SP880CS Double-Braced Cymbal Stand:

I use this stand to hold two cymbals and a 12x7 tom. It's incredibly sturdy, and the price is amazing. You won't find another stand as good as this for the price, I'd go as far as to compare it to DW8000 hardware. Get this stand.

Great stands

Comments about Sound Percussion SP880CS Double-Braced Cymbal Stand:

I have upgraded my cymbal hardware to Sound percussion stands about ten years ago. These are very solid and sturdy the quality is outstanding. I prefer Pearl hardware for pedals, hi- hats, and snare stands but for my cymbals these are great. I changed out my stock hardware when I bought a Ludwig set (the stock was junk) and have been very happy with SP stands. I will buy more as I continue to add on to my set and SP stands will be on my shopping list. Great price as well, you get more than you pay for.
