tuangatura

By Bubba Teleman

Comments about Squier Fat Tele Bridge Pickup:

I have no idea what's "fat" about this pickup. It's just a basic Telecaster bridge position pickup. My example has a DC resistance of about 3.9K.I haven't used it yet but this suggestsit will have a rather high resonant peakand not particularly strong output. There's lots of space on the bobbinto wind on more turns and do a tapping option. It comes with no packaging at all.Mine arrived with one lead damaged;it will be easier to repair than send back. The pole pieces extend through a steel baseand contact two (ceramic?) bar magnets. No mounting hardware included.Looks to be wax potted, done cleanly.Usable, appropriately priced.

Waste of time!

By TRCJAZZ

from Orlando, FL

Comments about Squier Fat Tele Bridge Pickup:

I experiment constantly with pickups, (strat's & tele's), and had to try this one based on the price and the fact that it's a Fender product. Upon receipt appears well built, the look is correct, and it fit perfectly. After install ---> Volume a bit weak, but useable, string balance seems way out of whack. Treble side weak and bass side hot with no adjustments to height making any difference. Too bad, I was hoping this would be the answer. E-mail me with suggestions if you have any, but as is this just doesn't work. Thanks TRCJAZZ

Decent

By Scott C.

Comments about Squier Fat Tele Bridge Pickup:

You cant beat it! I love the crisp sound of a factory single coil squire/fender pickup. But I wanted a pickup with a tad more bite, without being distorted, this does the job.Its not an 60 or 80 Duncan, but if you want more bite outta your TELE this does it.

Crap

Comments about Squier Fat Tele Bridge Pickup:

Pure crap. Sure, they cost 1/10 of the price of good pickups, but they also sounds 1/1000 as good.

It Works

By Old Floyd Fan

from A stones throw from Redmond, WA

Comments about Squier Fat Tele Bridge Pickup:

I dont know how hot these are, mine only has a resistance of 3.6K ohm. But high output does not necessarily mean good sound. The tone is good and clean. I wired mine to Fenders 50's Esquire schematic and it functions as intended. Sure can't beat the price...
