Comments about Steinberger Light Gauge 4-String Bass Strings:

Sound and feel were pretty good but since strings were manufactured too long it made them a poor value in this instance. If proper length then the strings would have been good for the style of music I play which is progressive rock.
Purchased Steinberger light guage 4 string bass strings. They sounded and felt okay but the sets I bought were manufactured slightly too long. I own a Steinberger XM3DB and I could not get the A string into tune in standard tuning. Would have had to tune at least a step down.
Really unusable in this situation. If proper length then I would say these strings would be fine.

    Finger Funk

Comments about Steinberger Light Gauge 4-String Bass Strings:

The strings sound decent, not especially bright. The issue I have is the strings seem like they have been coated with graphite. After about fifteen minutes of playing, my fingertips are black. In this case you get that for which you pay.

    Don't waste your money!!!

Comments about Steinberger Light Gauge 4-String Bass Strings:

These strings are without a doubt the worst strings I have ever bought for any instrument. They torture your fretting hand and have terrible overtones even after setting action and intonation to them. I play with a classic rock/country cover band and use both pick and fingerstyle, these strings are good for niether style. You'd be better off spending double for better quality. I threw these away after only 2 shows.

Comments about Steinberger Light Gauge 4-String Bass Strings:

These steinberger strings are better than the Trace-Elliot or D'Addarios of the same type and length,in my opinion.I really have tried them all,and these strings you can stretch way out without them going out of tune. They last longet then the othere brands too!Two Thumbs way up!
