The 1/4" Straight Phone Plug I replaced, center connector was rotating inside the plug shorting out the contacts. this products center contact is stationary in it's place and should not rotate with use.

Plug is very easy to use - we made two new speaker cables in less than an hour - including soldering the connections. Past reviews were very good - no reason for me to state otherwise.

I needed some extra connectors for fixing up old cable. Bought these, couple days later they arrived, I busted out the sauter iron out and before long I had four new cables. Great price, quick shipping, easy solve.

KICK A**! These babes NEVER wear out. They are easy to service, because the cap screws out. So, you can easily fix it in a jam. I don't even have to sodder* mine. (*spelling??) They work with any cable type, even ones with a static ground. Great product.
