3-pin XLR female audio connector to standard 1/4" 3-conductor plug.
Wiring assembly required.
This connector will be shipped in three parts:
1. the tubular insulator,
2. the pin and base sub-assembly, and
3. the plug or extension jacks assembly.
Suggested wiring scheme:
pin 1: ground (shield)
pin 2: hot (red lead, tip, positive)
pin 3: cold (black lead, ring, negative)

Good. When you need them, nothing else will do.
Comes unassembled. All the pieces are there, but you must apply final solder to the wiring in the pin-out config you need. Check with the manufacturer of the equipment you are trying to adapt to receive their wiring diagram. Then simply match the signal/sleeve and ground accordingly.
These used to come finally assembled, but so many people complained that they now ship so that you may connect them the way you want them.
These aren't quite as high quality as they used to be in the day, but still solid copper or copper alloy and well worth the money. They should last a lifetime with little care.
Good value. Don't forget to solder the wires.

This product is horrible, mine got sent to me, it wasn't put together. It came in 2 different pieces, after 2 days and a missed band practice, we got it soldered together and how it should be when you get it sent to you, and it didn't work! Relying on this, I am out a mic.

We recently purchased 4 of these adapters for use in a gig we had. We were confident that this would fix and decrease our setup time. Unforunately that was not the case. After 25 minutes of troubleshooting our gear our drummer pulled on a cord and the connector came apart, much to our amazement the wires were not terminated!!!In short a great adapter if you remember to terminate the internal wiring!!!Company defect? Or just not the same quality that switchcraft used to have?? You decide.
