Stay Away

By CrazyVagrant

Comments about Takamine G-Series Dreadnought Guitar Case:

I would suggest you check some of the universal manufacturers. While the logo maybe enticing, I am sure the limitations, and faults of the case will never be worth the Takamine logo.
It has all of the qualities of a guitar case made poorly.
It was falling apart when I received it, the keys were missing.
This was on the expensive side for the guitar it was made for.

Comments about Takamine G-Series Dreadnought Guitar Case:

I expected a quality case from the company that builds a quality guitar. My guitar was built in South Korea under the specifications and supervision of Takamine, a company based in Japan. The case was built in China, apparantly with almost no specifications, supervision or quality control. A company like Takamine should take the same approach it takes over its' primary product, the guitar, and apply the same standards to its' secondary product, the guitar case.
It's a guitar case with the expected features a guitar case should have. Nice color and sharp looking Takamine logo.
This guitar case has very little quality. Structurally, it is thin and flimsy. You would think that a guitar company that prides itself in quality guitars would follow through with a case that is worthy of the guitar it was made to hold. This is "not the case", pun intended. The guitar, an EG530SC, bounces around and the interior has insufficient padding.
There are many generic guitar cases that are less expensive and built better.

Better off buying a Musician's Gear Case

By Richie Dee

from Pittsburgh, PA

Comments about Takamine G-Series Dreadnought Guitar Case:

I purchased this case to go with my new G Series Takamine EG531SC Dreadnought. When I received it the top of the case was a bit scuffed, but what really bothered me about the case was the quality of the case. It was very thin and cheap feeling. The interior was not very plush, and had almost no padding. My G series dreadnought, for which this case was specifically made, bounced around inside. The fit was far from snug. I purchased a Musician's Gear Deluxe Dreadnought case, and my G Series fit much better, with far more padding to protect my guitar.
