The description says it's great for splash cymbals and small crashes. To cut down on hardware and set-up time I use two of these to add an 18" China and 22" Ping ride to one cymbal stand. They hold up to a 4 hour show and never budge.

typical tama: samurai like thinking in design. quick set up, universal adjustment, great functionality at a fair price point. the product picture is obviously older as it does not depict the more recent tama side-button, quick release retainer, (an awesome innovation,) which now is standard on this unit. I've been able to reduce the number of cymbal stands I use to two by employing this item. (I think the chrome Christmas tree look might just catch on!)

        AWESOME QUALITY AND DESIGN!!

        Comments about Tama Cymbal Attachment:

I own 6 of these and they are amazing. People always tell me that I am the HARDEST hitting drummer they have ever seen and these attachments do not budge. That is to be expected when you buy Tama equipment. I have 6, 8, 9, 10, 12, 14 inch cymbals on these and each hold with no problem. Saves space and money, a stand equivalent would cost double this price...and it would have legs. Buy this and you will not be disappointed.

        Comments about Tama Cymbal Attachment:

I was surprised at how heavy this peice was when I received it as a bithday gift. It weighs as much as some of my cymbal stands! I used it to mount a 12" china, but it will support much more, this is a very well-built attachment that doesn't move even under the heaviest hitting.I especially liked the plastic nut instead of the traditional wingnut, because all of you wuhan china users know how regular wignuts will not fit when playing the cymbal upside down. This solved that problem, and I love it. I will be buying two more for my splashes!

        Comments about Tama Cymbal Attachment:

Knowing Tama, I expected it to be a nice attachment. Wow...this thing is a piece of Beef. Really nice. When you pull it out of the box, you know you have a piece of equipment in your hand. It's really adjustable too...just what you need for arranging under and between cymbals. It only seems expensive because of all the really cheap stuff out there...this thing stays where you clamp it too. All I have is a 10" splash on it but I'm sure it would hold a 22" ride if the stand you clamp it to could hold it all.

This clamp is very helpful. It narrows the price down instead of just buying 2 stands, just buy a clamp! My brothers band's drummer owns 4 of these, and if you tighten them a lot, they will not budge, and you can add a cymbal thats 15" max, and a max of 3 to 4 pounds, this thing will be your best friend when it comes to buying a clamp. go tama!

This clamp is excellent It allows you to mover the boom any way you like. I have a road pro tama stand and I have had cymbal 16 inches on this clamp with great stability. I swaped my boom arm on from the roadpro boom stand with the clamp boom arm. This calmps boom arm is not all that long. I think you are better off paying for this clamp then buy the cheaper versions, unless you like to keep yoour set up the same way all the time. I like the extra adjustments that other cymbal clamps do not offer. Go Tama!!

I have bought 2 of these Tama MCA63EN Cymbal Attachments and am amazed at how tough and versatile they are. I use them to hold a 12" splash cymbal and a 12" china cymbal. They are very sturdy and work great for getting accent cymbals into just the right spot. I highly recommend these!

        Comments about Tama Cymbal Attachment:

This is a great piece of hardware from Tama. I use the two I bought for mounting a couple of 8? splashes above my hi-hats, from DW 9700 cymbal stands. It would be difficult to ask for a better piece of hardware for this purpose.Pros: 1) The Fast Clamp feature is handy and easy to use, 2) The toothless tilter is solid and allows you to place the cymbal at any angle, 3) The post is 8mm and compatible with other manufacturer's wingnuts (unlike Tama's old 6mm post; incidentally, the round plastic nut included works just as well as a metal nut and is less obtrusive), and 4) the boom arm is long enough to get the cymbals where you want them, but short enough to not get in the way.One minor con: The cymbal sleeve, seat, and spacer between the seat and tilter are all a single piece of plastic (Tama P/N RB8P). Once the sleeve wears, this whole part needs to be replaced. I'm sure it's not an expensive part, but it's not a standard sleeve either and as such it might be harder to find a replacement when you need one. With small splashes, it may take years to wear through the sleeve, but larger cymbals will wear this part faster. At any rate, it's obvious that Tama put a lot of thought into this product, and in my opinion, it's one of the best cymbal stand/clamp combos on the market.

I have 3 of these for my splashes. If I add another splash or get out the wallet and buy the Paiste Signature bell, this is what I will get without a blink of the eye. These are sturdy and very reliable.

        Comments about Tama Cymbal Attachment:

i owned this clamp for about 2 years. it's definitely a beefy piece of equipment! very solid, very sturdy. the toothless tilter is a wonderful thing; it allows you to position the cymbal at literally any angle. the wingnuts at any spot on the clamp are very easy to tighten; just don't over-tighten, making it hard to get them loose. word of advice, though... if you're looking to mount a splash or a bell, get something cheaper and lighter, like the gibraltar arm. you don't need a clamp this heavy for a smaller cymbal. but if you're going to mount a ride, crash or china, then this is the thing for you. i think the boom arm is 18" in length. overall, a great piece of equipment. heavy and reliable. the price is a little steep now, but i'd say it's worth it for your expensive cymbals!

I bought one of these a while ago as a splash cymbal holder but I've found many uses for it. I've used it on gigs mounted to the tom post and it supports a 21" ride cymbal with no problems. It's quick and easy to set-up too, no standing there twirling wing nuts around.

        Tama Cymbal Attachment...ehhh

        By Harry-J5sde

        from Indep., MO.

        Comments about Tama Cymbal Attachment:

Well I loved it at first. LOVED. It was great for holding a splash and is now holding a 14" crash. Reason I gave it a 3 on quality is because the part that clamps to the stand...the outside part where you open it to attach to stand is stripping. Therefore making it 1000000x harder to attach to the stand. The screw stripped which stops the washer and spring from coming up to allow easer attachment. This brought value rating down. However it has held up...just that problem in only like 1 month of owning....

        Comments about Tama Cymbal Attachment:

I have two of these, and plan on buying a third. They stand up to a lot (I have an 18" Crash/Ride on one, and it's totally sturdy). Given the price, they're much cheaper than buying another stand, and most stands can hold two or three of these if you balance them right. I recommend these for anyone wanting to expand their set. You will not be disappointed.
