Just got these pedals and I am very impressed. Bought these pedals used to serve as a back-up to my DW 5000 and to use on my practice kit. Wasn't expecting very much from these. Boy was I mistaken. I have owned an Iron Cobra flexi-glide strap pedal a few years ago and this pedal is better. Many of the same features as the cobra but for much less money. Although its a single chain, the pedal is very smooth and FAST. Just as fast as my DW 5000 turbo. The standard beater is great. Love the 2-sided option and the weight is just right. Not too heavy and fast. The plastic side has plenty of attack and is powerful. Much better than Iron Cobra beaters that offer no second option. This pedal provides many of the same features as more expensive pedals, even a hard shell carrying case, for much less. I have only had the pedal for a few days, so i don't know how well it will stand up to abuse over time, but my first impression is great. It plays as well as anything else out there. Definitely worth a try to any intermediate or pro drummer. A much better investment than the over-priced Iron Cobra, in my opinion.

I bought this pedal about 2 years ago. Right from the get go I wasn't pleased with this pedal. It doesn't have very many features that help you really make it what you want. I played this pedal every day for 2 years, and it's durable, but it just doesn't have what I need as a musician in a metalcore band. It might be better for someone who won't be using the slave (left) side as much and as hard as myself.

Good Starting Double Kick pedal

By DummaBoi

from Canda

This is a great pedal to start off with, its resonably priced and is good to learn off of. I have owned this pedal for about 1 1/2 years and I can't say I'm happy anymore. I recently upgraded to a tama power glide and am alot happiier, although this is a good intro into double bass drumming.

Great for beginning Metal drummers

By Creamesoda

If you're into playing at high speeds and you're just starting to drum, this is an excellent pedal to start off with. I started off with this pedal 3 years ago and my techniques with double pedal have dramatically improved. You cannot reach extremely high speeds without some effort but it does make you push the limit if you want to go high speeds with the pedal. This pedal is an excellent training pedal for beginners, good adjustable spring, flexible to adjust to any drummers preferences. It gets the job done.

I bought these pedels a long time ago when I was 1st starting to learn double bass, when I 1st got them they rocked, I loved them and they really helped me out and I was goin somewhat fast, then time passed on, a year later and I was getting twice as good twice as fast, and then I relised that these pedals was'nt cutting it anymore, but my sugestion is for any begining metal drummer, get these pedals get good on them and them up grade, but I really have to give it these pedals, they relly helped me.

smooth quick and powerful

I use this pedal daily, I play alot of double bass daily. This pedal is VERY easy to play because it is very smooth. A great price and a great pedal. I use the plastic side of the beater not the felt side, it provides ALOT of punch, very artiiculate. love this pedal and am getting another one this week for one of my other sets. I also own a higher end Tama dbl pedal from the 1990s with a thicker chain and the iron cobra jr feels much better. get this pedal it works great and is priced fairly

Tama Iron Cobra Jr. Dbl

By the pedal daude

from Chicago

This is a great double pedal, I've been using mine for about seven years now and it still works great. It is still just as smooth as the day that I took it out of the box. There was a little bit of squeak in the right pedal after a few years, but after flip floping the right and left pedal springs it was solved. One of my friend bought a Pearl Eliminator around the same time I bought this pedal, and he has had numerous problems with it ever since. Not to mention, the eliminator squeaks very very loud, due to all of the interchangeable plastic parts, which also break very easily. Overall all this is a great pedal, and a great value. I highly recommend it to all, even over much more expensive pedals like the eliminator.

I've had mine for about 14 months now. There are pros and cons to this pedal. Pros: fast, durable, affordable. Cons: clinking, squeeking, stripping keys, slow response with left pedal.

Iron Cobra Jr.

Fantastic pedals for beginning to intermediate drummers. I've had mine for a little over 3 months, and they haven't malfunctioned yet. They lack some of the features of the higher end models, of course, but I had no problem adjusting them to fit my personal preferences. An honestly great buy.

Very good begginer padals

By Anonymous

from Undisclosed

I started playing drums about three years ago, I also bought these pedals a month or two after having my set, I love them, I am still using them three tears later, I am playing 32nd notes on my double bass easily, they are a great pedal to learn and play on, they are also very strong, I went through a couple bass heads with them. I would recommend these pedals, since I have owned them I have played on numerous other pedals and none really fulfill my needs such as this one, very well built and reliable. The only drawback is that they are a little heavy but not a lot, I plan to upgrade to the axis longboard and hopefully they will make me as happy as this pedal has.
