Just got these pedals and I am very impressed. Bought these pedals used to serve as a back-up to my DW 5000 and to use on my practice kit. Wasn't expecting very much from these. Boy was I mistaken. I have owned an Iron Cobra flexi-glide strap pedal a few years ago and this pedal is better. Many of the same features as the cobra but for much less money. Although its a single chain, the pedal is very smooth and FAST. Just as fast as my DW 5000 turbo. The standard beater is great. Love the 2-sided option and the weight is just right. Not too heavy and fast. The plastic side has plenty of attack and is powerful. Much better than Iron Cobra beaters that offer no second option. This pedal provides many of the same features as more expensive pedals, even a hard shell carrying case, for much less. I have only had the pedal for a few days, so i don't know how well it will stand up to abuse over time, but my first impression is great. It plays as well as anything else out there. Definitely worth a try to any intermediate or pro drummer. A much better investment than the over-priced Iron Cobra, in my opinion.

I bought this pedal about 2 years ago. Right from the get go I wasn't pleased with this pedal. It doesn't have very many features that help you really make it what you want. I played this pedal every day for 2 years, and it's durable, but it just doesn't have what I need as a musician in a metalcore band. It might be better for someone who won't be using the slave (left) side as much and as hard as myself.

Used these pedals once then traded them in, they were very slugish both, not just the slave, they have also been through 3 other drummers, but they are as tough as a tank.
I have played the standard Iron Cobra, but this is definitely a great pedal if your budget is tight. Very smooth and lightning fast!
Are you playing an old Dixon or Gibraltar? Throw them away and get this pedal. My accuracy and speed increased 100% overnight. Definitely worth the 200 clams. With the exception of plactic tension knobs this is a great deal.
if you're planning to buy this one, you better think about it. the pedal has low action. i would rather buy pearl powershifter eliminator.
I bought this pedal thinking it was going to be a good buy but I was wrong. The action is very slow and does not have many adjustment features to work with. When you try to loosen the springs to get more action the beater slaps your foot. I got a huge bruise from this which hurt like junk! Otherwise a great beginning pedal.
I've had this pedal about three months, and I haven't had a single problem with it. It's smooth and quite with a great balance of speed and power. The only thing I had to do was replace the springs with stiffer ones. I definitely recommend this pedal to anyone on a budget.
I had borrowed these pedals from a friend, not knowing anything about them, and I immediately loved them. They're smooth, durable and fast with so much comfort. These are great pedals for the price.
I have had this pedal for a little over a year now. I've been playing drums for three years. I have a Tama Swingstar and the pedal works real sweet with it. Especially because i upgraded from the HP10 because i have no $$. But, this kick is like real smooth. What i recommend if you want a smooth feel to it is loosen the springs really far down and the tighten little by little and test each one out. I definitely recommend this pedal to any one trying to save money. It's definitely worth it.
I got this pedal for christmas and I have had no problem with it. It's good for any type of music. I highly recommend this pedal for beginners and advanced drummers. If money is tight, no problem, I doesn't cost as much as every other pedal.
I bought this for my first double pedal, and after a year of playing I got really good at playing with it. I have to say that I have played other pedals, and they felt a lot better, but it really is all about practice. For the money this is a very capable pedal, but I'm planning on upgrading to a dw9002.
