Ok, this is a snare stand.. What do you expect? It holds your snare drum. I've had mine for quite a while now, never had any trouble with it. It is very sturdy, and I can adjust it to just the way I like it. You can't go wrong, especially @ this price!
I use a 14" snare and this is a great stand. Sturdy, strong and adjustable. I like how I can adjust the basket size with a twist lever. Simple and durable. Great buy.
Overall this is a very sturdy stand, but I have trouble with the basket opening up on me after pounding the snare for a while. The twist style basket adjuster tends to not stay put and I have to keep re-adjusting the basket in the middle of the set. I notice after a few songs that the hight of the snare has lowered.
I got this stand as my first snare stand. I paid way to much for it at a local music store. I didn't know much because I was just beginning the process of building my kit, since I had surprisingly gotten a shellpack for x-mas. It seemed great at first, especially since I had nothing else to sit my snare on, forcing me to resort to bass and toms only. It's a decent piece of equipment for a few months, nothing extremely great about it, just what you would expect. But after having it for almost a year I have encountered some problems. The feature that locks the arms into place comes lose, even when I don't play very hard after just like 5 minutes. That feature isn't exactly easy or pleasant to use in the first place. bottom line: good price, but for a little more or the same you could have something a lot better.
That's what I need.
This snare stand is good but I didn't like it because the way I put Snare I put it flat and this snare stand doesn't go the way I want It to I recommend snare stand for people who like angled snare.
I'm a somewhat short guy, and the snare stand doesn't go down as far as i would like. It also has a tendency to tilt. I would suggest another stand.
I think that tama is the best quality drums and hardware for an affordable price and I have a tama snare and high hat stand and they have never failed me.
