This isnt the best throne but it's good. This is a throne for the person who has one that came with a set and wants to make an upgrade. This is your upgrade. It doesnt wobble, it usually doesnt slide and its not to bad to sit on. A good buy i say.
I had a Roc N Soc throne for the past 4 years. I am in a band that plays about 3-4 shows a month, 3 hours a night. My Roc N Soc was really nice and comfy, but it broke at the weld on the seat after a few years. I bought this in a pinch til my new pork pie arrives and it works fine but I honestly didn't think I was going to make it through the night it was so uncomfortable. It is built well, but if you play long nights, it hurts. My butt kept going to sleep. I guess I got spoiled with my Roc N Soc.
bought this throne thinking it would be good but 2 months later the screws under the seat kept on falling out and wont stay in. time to look for a good throne
Picked this up as a backup/traveling throne. The hardware is cheap, adjustment design is illogical. My first bad experience with a Tama product. Bite the bullet and spend the extra money on a Pork Pie, you'll thank me later.
this is not the most comfy seat, but it's cool for the price. everything loosens up. i play with the thing kind of high and if i suddenly put too much weight, it goes down and i can barely reach the cymbals. but it's cool.
Looking for a quality budget throne I settled on the Tama. Glad I did, it's everything a throne needs to be. I didn't want the screw type height adjustment. The seat is surprisingly comfortable, it looks like it has a thin layer of soft foam on the top - then most of the thickness is a dense stiff foam. It seems hard at first but when you settle into it you forget about what you're sitting on. It's nothing like a board!
This throne is very sturdy and VERY versatile. I've had problems in the past where thrones would'n go high enough or low enough and this throne doesn't have either of those problems. Also, like I said, this throne is real solid, I haven't had any problems with it slipping. It's not as comfortable as some other thrones I've sat on, but those types of thrones go for over twice the price of this. I would definitely recommend this for anyone on a budget.
This is a really nice seat. It kinda feels like a computer chair. I also like how you need a drum key to tighten the seat. If its slides down while playing, you're not tightning it enough. Don't be wimpy. Not bad for the price either. I recommend this for beginners or experts.
