OVERVIEW

Raises the bar for hi-hats with its revolutionary lever-based design.

The Tama Iron Cobra hi-hat was designed to be the perfect counterpart to Iron Cobra bass pedals. Iron Cobra hi-hats offer incomparable sensitivity, lightning fast action, player friendly adjustments, and an absolutely noiseless design.

The idea of replacing the traditional pull mechanism with a lever design was a genuinely revolutionary concept. Our Iron Cobra version uses roller bearings at the lever fulcrum for even smoother footboard action while a super-strong Kevlar strap connects the footboard and pull rod for even, noise-free action.

A superior two-legged hi-hat from the hardware wizards at Tama.

Comments about Tama Iron Cobra HH905N Lever Glide Hi-Hat Stand:

The feature I like the most second to the smooth and silent operation, is the folding pedal. Other two-legged stands I have owned have a fixed pedal that replaces the third missing leg. This unit has a pedal that not only supports the stand but also folds up to be stored neatly in your gear bag. This is a winner hi hat stand. Great features. Great quality. Great value.
This stand has all the features you may ever want. First and foremost, the pedal folds up for transport in your grear bag. You can adjust the spring tension, the height of the hats, and even the tilt of the stand!
This stand is of first rate quality. The unit is silent, it operates smoothly, and is built very robustly.
This stand is more expensive that others, but when you count all the features, and the quality, you are paying for the value of the unit.

Comments about Tama Iron Cobra HH905N Lever Glide Hi-Hat Stand:

Personally, I love this stand. I got one back in the 90s and have used it on tour since. It's very reliable, durable, and has lasted through many a stage disaster. Worth the money and more.

Comments about Tama Iron Cobra HH905N Lever Glide Hi-Hat Stand:

I have owned this hi hat for a few months now and I absolutely love it. I also own a dw 9000 hat stand, and I far prefer the Tama. The Iron cobra has so many more features that dw decided to exclude or ask that you pay in order to have that luxury. The price first off, the tama is far cheaper. The adjustment to the footboard height is another big thing for me. Two screws and you're set on the Tama. The Dw has a set of footplates you have to purchase seperately in order to raise your heel to the desired level not the footboard itself. Next I really like the feet as tama have placed spurs on them. These have helped me quite a bit at times where i forgot my rug on stage, just had a bad rug or what not as i like to stomp a little harder than some when i get into the music ha ha. I also prefer the feel of the iron cobra it just seems more fluid like to me idk this is a subjective thing. All I know is definitely try this guy out if you're in the market. I'm willing to bet you'll take it home.

      A Wonderful Stand

Comments about Tama Iron Cobra HH905N Lever Glide Hi-Hat Stand:

I replaced my 15+ year old pearl chain drive stand with one of these bad boys. I had no idea it would make such a difference in my playing. The pedal is silent, and when you play it, it feels like an extension of your body. There's no latency at all. It has an excellent feel.

They feature a clutch you can play without a felt on the top cymbal to give it a bit more resonance. This took a little getting used to, but after playing with it for a bit, I think it sounds pretty great and you get a little more natural motion out of the hats. The swing isn't 'choked' by a felt.

When closed, the hats lay flat. Completely flat, and they sound great.

The two leg design is super solid and holds up fine.

Really great hi-hat stand. You won't be disappointed.

Comments about Tama Iron Cobra HH905N Lever Glide Hi-Hat Stand:

This is my third Tama hi-hat stand and second Road-Pro. It's completely lived up to the promise/hype! I love the sensitivity gained with the new clutch and the control and feel from the pedal setup is fantastic. The pedal linkage seems more durable than the chain drive from my 75.

Comments about Tama Iron Cobra HH905N Lever Glide Hi-Hat Stand:

I purchased my Tama Superstar kit 35 years ago, and just recently (2 years) replaced the hi-hat stand with the new Iron Cobra two leg stand. The two legs make it ideal for double kick pedals, as you actually position your pedals comfortably. Still in the same shape as the day I bought it. I play more of a progressive rock style (Rush, Dream Theater, etc.) so I usually beat the heck out of my equipment, especially my hi-hat. I purchased my Tama Superstar kit 35 years ago, and this replacement stand is the best. Heavy duty, adjustable and attractive.

Comments about Tama Iron Cobra HH905N Lever Glide Hi-Hat Stand:

I've been playing on the road for 18 years now and I find this stand to work well. Wish I would have bought it long ago. It doesn't skate out of reach as quickly as three legged stands. The double base petal is easily put where ever you desire. The action is effortless. The sound is crisp because there's no felt on the top cymbal. I've only used it a couple times since purchase but enjoy the quality and sound.

Comments about Tama Iron Cobra HH905N Lever Glide Hi-Hat Stand:

I've been using this hat stand for about 6 or 7 years now and it has never let me down. The two legged feature is great especially if you use a double pedal (which I did when I first got it) because you can get your slave pedal right up next to the stand with no problem but there's no sacrifice in stability; this thing is solid as a rock. Its construction is very high quality as it is performing just as well now as the day I got it.
