I received the Iron Cobra in the mail last week. I got it because my old pedal that came with my old set was wearing down. I also heard my favorite drummer also uses this pedal. It comes in a case and the case is nice. It also comes with a little tool/key that stores in a little hole attached to the side of the pedal. As far as looks, the pedal looks great. As far as performance goes, I like it, but there are many different factors that can adjusted on it to fit your preference. This can be good because the pedal can sold to many people and fit their style of playing, BUT it can also be bad because it can take a while (I mean hours of time) to adjust to your liking. I got it to work for me fairly quickly. One thing I didn't like was in the middle of my band's last song the pedal became loose and re-adjusted itself. Because of this my drumming was off, I had to adapt to it's new position within a matter of seconds. It sucked. Make sure before you play to tighten up all the nuts and bolts. I feel like I can adjust this pedal to where I really enjoy it, but the time it takes to make it work is irritating.PROS: Fast, powerful, sturdy, great looks, highly-adjustable-makes it easy for everyone to play on itCONS: Becomes loose during an extended amount of playing, too-adjustable-takes too long to get it right for your style

I bought this pedal recently and thought it would be a great pedal. I then proceeded to spend about 3 hours (no exaggeration there) trying to fine-tune it, but no matter how hard I tried, there was something that didn't work well with every combination. It would be different every time, but there was always something. In general, the biggest problem was that when I tried to do intricate patterns which I could do with my $50 Dixon pedal, it jsut wiggled a little, sometimes grazing the head. I'm trading this in for a pearl.

I have owned this pedal for about three months, and the beginning slant of the footboard is a bit high. Other than that the pedal is limitless. The pedal is a great value if you know what you want.
This pedal is the smoothest and most accurate pedal I've ever played. I bought 2 and my double bass increased by 6 BPM after just sitting down and playing. I know this will be a pedal I can depend on for years to come.
I OWN this pedal played it once and WOW I loved it got rid of my DW 9000 single pedal and also got rid of my DW 7000 Double pedal this is the BEST Pedal on the market and its not the most expensive so that the best part about it..I'm gonna get the Iron Cobra Double Next...Just Buy It you will be Happy trust me!! You wont believe what your foot can do until you play this pedal......
All I can say is WOW! I used this pedal for auditions and man it was smooth AND powerful. I recommend this for all types of playing.
this pedal is GREAT! as a player of the music, it seems that you are ALWAYS playing something you like better. that stops HERE! the IRON COBRA is the BEST hands down.
This is the ultimate pedal for a musician, like myself. It is fully adjustable. All the professionals use this pedal, so you can't go wrong with buying it.
I have had this pedal for about a year. At first it was an amazing pedal. But like all good things, they come to an end. Problem is, the end to this pedal was WAY to early. This is supposed to be one of the best pedals out there and I don't feel like it is...
I had a Ludwig 215BP that came with my accent, then I played on a PDP EZ Pedal, and then I had a Pearl 120 Power Shifter, until finally I bought the Power Glide and it is amazing. Super smooth! Mine came with no instructions, but Tama has the manual on their website, I love the power glide cam, you can adjust the height of the pedal, the speed, the rebound of the beater, the angle of the beater, and it's really sturdy if you take care of it. Plus it makes triples really easy. I can't really speak for other pedals, but this is exceptional. Of course, right with it are the DW9002 and the Axis Longboard. Still, I wouldn't buy those if had that much money. I prefer Tama, the Power Glide won't let you down, unless you don't take care of it or if your technique isn't good.
I am on a tour with Neil Peart and Rush, his DW pedals broke and the van was late so we picked one of these up, he really loved it. Unfortunatly we never got to try the double as the store was very small and had very little inventory. Anyways this pedal truly is worth its price and more. Neil says so!
I bought the Iron Cobra several years ago after using a Ludwig Speed King for decades. I did not like the action at first, but now cannot go back to the Speed King. This is one fast, well built pedal of the Tama quality you would expect.
Like I said, it is the best pedal ever!! Great for anything...
I bought this pedal and I love it. It lacks some of the feel of the Dw5000 but the quality is amazing. The ability to adjust the beater angle and footboard independently is a great feature. I use it for my Pearl Exports and they rock!!
I have owned this pedal since November and I am seriously thinking about switching to dw. Why? Because for some reason I have managed to destroy the chain 3 times now. I dont know what the problem is. Is it me or the pedal. I am thinking about buying a dw, because they say that you can drum really fast with it without breaking the chain...
I purchased the Iron Cobra about two years ago. It has treated me very well with no break downs at all. I found That I was able to adjust this pedal right to my liking with out any troubles at all and I havent had to readjust it since. (although I have adjusted due to changes in playing style for example swithching from heals down to heals up). My teacher has a dw 9000 on his kit and after a 30 minute lesson I am longing for my iron cobra (but in dws defense I am not able to fine tune his pedal to my style)Overall this is a very good buy it lasts long, adjusts easy and feels good
My drum set included a free pedal. Needless to say, you get what you pay for. This is the second pedal I've played and I can't imagine there's anything better out there at this price. This is what your pedal should feel like. The two chain driven 'power glide' is smooth, the construction is flawless and the materials are durable. You can tell that this pedal will last the life of your set or longer. All in all a quality pedal that is bound to improve your technique. If you're playing with anything less save up your money and move into a pedal that should be standard equipment for all drum sets.
A great pedal! Immediately I felt a difference. Smooth, quick, with a great attack.
I have had this pedal for 6 mo and it was way better then my old pearl eliminator. It just feels a lot better on my feet and i have been able to play a whole lot faster than with the pearl.
This is a good pedal, it's super fast and the beater can adjust to any angle so no matter how high or low your bass drum is, the I.C. will give you a good hit every time.
I have been playing yamaha flying dragon pedals for about 2 years now and I finally got up some spare cash to buy these babies. Man I was so surpised at the power these things have. I have been playing them for 3 days and I already can double bass much more precise and faster with the iron cobra.
Simply the smoothest, fastest and best feeling pedal I have ever owned. Built like a tank as well.
