Comments about Tama Stage Master Single-Braced Hi-Hat Cymbal Stand:

Works just as it should. Legs rotate to accommodate my Tama Speed Cobra Pedal. Be aware that this particular stand does not have tension adjustments. However, the tension of the pedal is just fine. Even though it is a single braced leg, I have had no tipping, leaning, etc. with this stand even when playing with considerable force. Very happy with my purchase.

Comments about Tama Stage Master Single-Braced Hi-Hat Cymbal Stand:

I've been substituting this stand for my Tama Iron Cobra HH905N Lever Glide hh stand for local gigs to reduce the weight of my hardware case and it has worked just quite well. It is noticeably lighter than the lever glide. No, it is not as solid feeling but it's not like it wobbles around. I think it is more of an issue of mass, the weight of the lever glide stand making it "feel" more solid. Note that the the legs rotate, there is one adjustable spike and the hh spring is not adjustable. I found the clutch to be nearly identical to my lever glide clutch and it functions quite adequate. Only noticing I have about this stand is that it takes a slightly different different technique to get decent "sizzle" foot chicks compared to a lever glide. If you're looking for the same in a hi hat stand, I'd say go for it.

Comments about Tama Stage Master Single-Braced Hi-Hat Cymbal Stand:

This stand is smooth and not bad but if you do a lot of opening and closing it loosens up very easily and becomes more opened than it is intended to be... can be very frustrating...

Comments about Tama Stage Master Single-Braced Hi-Hat Cymbal Stand:

I had to replace my stock hi hat stand, so I came to this site and found the cheapest one with an all metal construction (my first one was plastic and snapped). I have played some other hi hats on my friend's kits, and this one is far superior. It has strong spring tension, which I like cause I press the pedal kinda hard. It is also amazingly smooth and quiet. It folds up and it's really easily transportable. Unfortuneatly, it slides around a lot on a stage, which is ironic cause it's called the stage master. But other than that, this thing is what you're lookin for.

Comments about Tama Stage Master Single-Braced Hi-Hat Cymbal Stand:

My drums are set up on a carpet right now so I don't know how much this stand will move around on other surfaces. That being said... it's got a nice, quick response and tight closure, probably good for a backup for you regular "giggers". This stand is lovely for the price. Once you figure out how to put it together out of the box, you will enjoy it. Try playing "Walk this way" by a little group called "AEROSMITH" to test it out... the ultimate hi-hat test yeaaaah baby!!!
