Comments about Thomastik GB114 George Benson Custom Heavy Flatwound Jazz Guitar Strings:

I've only had them a few weeks, but I'm more than pleased. Previously I had flat wounds for about half the price which I consider to be garbage.
I just love the rich sound and ease of playing.
Since I'm only a novice I can't really make a comment regarding long life and strength.
These are the best sounding strings I have ever used. I've used about 10 different strings.

Comments about Thomastik GB114 George Benson Custom Heavy Flatwound Jazz Guitar Strings:

I tried these because I've been wanting heavier strings that I can dig into and would even be tough to play but these string are the creamiest dreamiest string I'll probably ever try. They are expensive but if you're unfamiliar with them Thomastik-Infeld is a company from Vienna that makes strings for violins and cellos so the quality and feel is in a completely different league away from our favorite Ernie Balls and DRs

I really love these strings! Great intonation, silky smooth, I use on my Gibson Howard Roberts Fusion III and the tone is incredible.

Comments about Thomastik GB114 George Benson Custom Heavy Flatwound Jazz Guitar Strings:

I love the fat sound of the heavy strings best but, I am a smaller player, use a versatile Gibson ES 345 and find the lighter strings work best for me for that purpose. I even enjoy the look and the feel but wish they sold strings separately or included an extra 1st and/or 2nd string because they usually receive the most use, stretching and bending during solos.

Comments about Thomastik GB114 George Benson Custom Heavy Flatwound Jazz Guitar Strings:

I have had only good luck with these strings in the past; I had previously used the 12s and 13s. Because of the cost I had switched to the D'Addario chromes, which are a good all around flatwound string, but the tone and feel of the Benson strings are far superior. The 14s are very heavy and allow the player to really dig into the string without buzz.

            Amazing Sound!

Comments about Thomastik GB114 George Benson Custom Heavy Flatwound Jazz Guitar Strings:

These strings sound amazing! The guages in the middle of the set are lighter than D'Addario 12's so they feel nice and light. It seems they last a VERY long time, too. That is why I don't mind the expense.
