Super sounding!

Thomastik-Infeld Superalloy bass strings deliver modern tone, with balanced spread across the frequency spectrum. They communicate with a full, well rounded bass, throaty mids, and solid treble without brittleness. Since the outer layer of windings is Superalloy, the warm tone is retained. Plus, these replacement bass strings are easier on your fretwork than stainless or all steel strings.

Comments about Thomastik IN345 Superalloy 5-String Bass Long Scale Strings:

I've been using Dean Markley SR 2000's for years now in the 47-127 guage on my Fender American Standard Jazz bazz. I play 3-4hrs. per day 6 days a week even though all that time isn't spent on the one bass. If I'm not at rehearsal or in studio I'm doing live gigs. That being said the Markleys hold up well and I change strings on this bass maybe every 3-4 months as I do take care of my strings and wipe them down often. The Markleys hold their tone for a long time. At Christmas a thoughtful person bought me a set of these INFELD IN345's. Mind you I didn't yet need to change strings but I thought since I had the time I'd put this new much touted set of INFELDs on and give them a whirl. First off the G&D strings weren't long enough to go through the body yet the B sting had to otherwise I'd be wrapping the fat around the peg. Odd but still not a deal breaker. The thing I noticed first was how these string sounded without amplification. No new string twang at all. Fairly dead sounding compared to the Markleys I'd just taken off. So I streched these strings retuned a few times and went to rehearsal. The very first song...my sound was gone. No more punch..no more clarity. I actually had to turn my amp up from where I always have it set just to be heard. The A string was noticably quieter than the rest of the set so whenever I played on the A string it had the effect of notes dropping out. I stopped rehearsal and threw another set of Markleys on and wham...night and day. Sound was back. Killer punch was back and every string could be heard. Lesson learned...you don't always get what you pay for. Yes the Infelds felt a bit smoother but certainly for me not something I'd compromise my sound for. I am happy that these were a gift so for me it was just some wasted time and an experiement to pass on to others. Try these if you like but these certainly didn't work for me and would have cost much more than I buy the Markleys for. So not worth it!

These strings are straight up amazing. I bought them over 4 months ago and they still sound amazing. The sound possibilities with these strings are endless. With one twist of the knobs of your bass guitar and these strings will be 100% different. I LOVE THESE STRINGS

Best bass strings you will ever play

Comments about Thomastik IN345 Superalloy 5-String Bass Long Scale Strings:

These are the hands down best strings I have ever played. There is nothing that is not superb. They are have the capabilite of having a bright punchy sound for more aggresive styles and can also carrie alot of bass and treble for jazz and regge. The most amazing thing is that tere comfortable as all h#!! You can definitly feel a difference.
