I have always liked Tomastic strings and the 344's are fine . I have no idea why a 36" scale string does not even clear the nut on the E string . At this price I expect better than that .

Since purchasing my Ric 4003-S bass new 26 years ago, there's been that '60s Ric bass tone in my head, which has eluded me until now. The secret (and a closely guarded one at that) is in these fantastic strings. Smooth to the touch, low-tension, and long lasting. What more can one ask for? Sets now for my '67 Hfner, '99 Precision, and '02 Precision-5 are on the way.

I have played a P-Bass with flatwounds for years. The current P-Bass is a Fender MIM standard. These strings turned that instrument in to an incredible sounding, incredible playing instrument. Even with the lighter gauge the "thump" is just perfect! I always played another brand of medium gauge flatwounds, but these are my choice from now on.

Been use these strings for a couple of years and they still sound great. When I first installed them, one at a time ,I was amazed at how "hot" they were compared to the Fender Rounds that I had on previously. Low tensision did require a neck ajustment.Very easy on the hands and very responsive.
