    Tungsol/New Sensor are the Best

    Comments about Tung-Sol 6550 Tube:

    New Sensor has apparently decided to become the Phillips of the 21st Century and they are doing pretty well at it. This Tube is super high quality and built to the same specs as the original Tungsol 655O. The American 6550 and British KT88 were pretty much the apex of glass audio- vacuum tube technology, those tubes have never been bettered and its amazing to see the best power tubes of the "old days" back in production. Telefunken is back and now the Tungsol 6550. Whats next? The Telefunken 6550 I hope

    The best 6550s for your Marshall

    Comments about Tung-Sol 6550 Tube:

    I recently had my 1982 Marshall JCM 800 4104 combo retubed with a set of the Tungsol 6550 tubes at the advice of my amp tech. At first I was skeptical as I have been a long time Groove tube user. I listened to him and it was one of the best things I have done to improve the tone of my already amazing amp. The tone improved and the harmonic presence and tone is really 3-dimensional. I just picked up a 900 and you can believe that this one will get a duet of these tubes, too. I highly recommend them.
