I really don't know how anyone could break the "plastic" parts - what are you people doing, dropping them into chipper/shreders or something? I've had mine for several years, have had LITERALLY no problem with it, and I love it's compactness - I fold it back up and tuck it into the back of my amp. The back support can be raised and lowered, and it has a nifty threaded tip with a locking nut (or whatever you call it) that you can either use to connect a gooseneck mic stand, or a lightweight equipment rack. (Even has a little clear rubbery cover for the threaded tip, to keep it from being damaged when not in use.)Love this stand, and I'm about to buy another one for the second amp I'm getting.

I am a pro player that has been around the block and I am still taking laps around the block. I just purchased another one of these Genesis Stands for my Amps that sit on the Ground. Simple, Tough, Inexpensive, Easy to Open up and Close (may take some of you simpletons a sec to figure out how to open the stand up, jk, hmmm maybe not.) The stand is just rock solid. This stand is a must on my big shows, I use two amps sitting low sitting on the Genesis Stands and two more amps directly behing them on taller fixed stands. Lounge and small club gigs I use only one or two amps and they are always sitting on the Genesis stands and the height is perfect for my amp shields on the gigs that volume is an issue. Have ever seen guitar players lay back their amp against a chair or cases and slowly the pounding of the music vibrates the chair or cases the boom, the amp is flat on it's back. I've been there, done that decades ago, never again. Get professional like I eventually did and get this really affordable amp stand that folds up and fits in the back of my amp... yes it fits in the back on my 1x12" cab amp. The stand is so sturdy it holds my 75 lb 2x12" amps with no problem. P.S. this stand works on standard square PA speakers to lay them back as floor monitors. Learned that out of necessity one night when we blew up some monitors and only had regular PA speakers to use. Also let a substitute Bass player use on of my Genesis stands to put his 4x10" cab on it. He had to lay it back due to Volume issues with a gig. Worked great.
Lightweight, Compact like a small umbrella built like a tank, Stand has threaded fitting to add mic boom, ( Big reason to use this stand). Stand has adjustments for different tilts to suit you. I like mine all the way back to aim the amp more at myself and my rythymn section.
Solid. The first Genesis stand i bought was probably 10 to 12 years ago. I still have it and use it every gig.
Well it ain't free, but the price is affordable. Cheaper than the fixed stands in my arsenal.

Comments about Ultimate Support Amp-150 Genesis Amp Stand:

I have had two of these stands... I have a 40lb amp that I use when I play. The pictures shown of this amp stand show it with a Twin Reverb (80lbs). I returned the first stand that broke and they gave me a brand new replacement. The replacement broke in the exact same way the first one broke. The middle, rear, leg ends up slipping out of its hold... causing the amp to crash onto the floor. All I can say is it is a BAD BAD BAD design. This could be a great stand IF they would actually test the product before putting it on the market. Dont waste your money on this and just use a chair to set your amp in or lean it against the wall or something.

Poor Locking Mechanism

By Jazz Man

from Canada

Comments about Ultimate Support Amp-150 Genesis Amp Stand:

Somewhat easy to work with and while it is rated for use with 75 pounds amps, after repeated use with my 40 pound amp, the back leg on my stand would no longer stay locked into position. Usless!
Great concept but the leg locking mechanism (or nut) eventually wears out rendering the stand useless and unusable.
Poor locking mechanism and seams to wear out quickly.
Eventually rendered usless and unusable after frequent use,

Used a 40 pound amp on the stand for the first time at church and it broke. Just holding the stand you can tell how cheap it is.

Good Design, Terrible Quality

By JazzMaster-DwaEE

Comments about Ultimate Support Amp-150 Genesis Amp Stand:

I'll keep it brief. I like the design of the stand, with it's ability to mount your mic to it. However, the quality is beyond poor. Like others have stated, it you have a 1x8, 1x10 or an ultra light 1x12 then the stand is OK. I have gone through 3 of these and everyone of them broke within a month. I would not recommend this stand for a gigging musician.

Good Product

Comments about Ultimate Support Amp-150 Genesis Amp Stand:

I've had this stand for about three years now, and I gig with it about once per month, and my Hot Rod Deluxe is on it all the time, as I leave it set up in our practice space, and I have not had any issues with it. I think it's a great product, and the mic adapter is really handy.

weak

Comments about Ultimate Support Amp-150 Genesis Amp Stand:

If you play a 1x8 combo amp then this thing might work for you. I play a Mesa Boogie F-50 (a 1x12 combo) and this thing couldn't handle it. I am very careful how I treat all of my gear. The guys in the band make fun of me for being so picky. The little chunk of plastic in the center of the legs is just too weak. Good idea, terrible construction.

Not for heavy amps

By GP-GWhk5

Comments about Ultimate Support Amp-150 Genesis Amp Stand:

This amp stand is great for smaller amps (with, say, just one 10 inch speaker. It is not good for my 50 lb Fender (though I still use it.) I tried to move it with the amp still tilted back...bad idea! It cracked on the plastic part. I did a decent repair job and it seems to be holding up ok. I still use it for the Fender because I don't have another tilt stand.

Worked great... until it cracked.

By Fretwiz

Comments about Ultimate Support Amp-150 Genesis Amp Stand:

I love how compact this stand is when folded. Unfortunately, after 6 months of moderate use (2-3 times per week) the adjustable plastic clamp for the upright cracked. The design is excellent, but plastic is the wrong material for the clamp and connector.

Maybe I got a lemon...

By JohnnyV-ze9BJ

Comments about Ultimate Support Amp-150 Genesis Amp Stand:

Had this stand for a little over a year without any issues. I love how compact it is, sleek little stand that "appears" to be well constructed. I got back from a gig a few weeks ago and set it up again, put my amp on it and the back rest fell right out of the base. The base had cracked and split. My randall probably weighs about 50 pounds, this products indicates it can hold up to 75. I might have gotten a bad one that was pre-cracked during transit or something.
