The height is adjustable from 28.75" to 37" with a setting every 7.5° on the dial to get it at the right height from sitting to standing levels. The X-style IQ-3000 has double bracing, a larger footprint and tubing, and the connections between the leg braces and top/bottom tubes are reinforced for more strength and stability than its welded peers. The end caps adjust to help with the stabilization and enable you to support up to a 300-pound keyboard piano without worry of it tipping over or collapsing under the pressure. When your gig is done, the top and bottom tubes can be disassembled from the leg braces for compact portability.
The IQ-3000 stand comes with a limited lifetime warranty.

The claimed maximum weight load capacity of this stand is 300 pounds. I used it to hold my 1965 Hammond B-3 chop that weighs in at about 250. It was fresh out of the box and only in use for about five hours when the lead apparatus that dials in the preset height dissintegrated into seventeen pieces, (at home, thank God, not at a gig) the stand collapsed, and the Hammond dropped onto what was left of the stand, smashing the once intelligent I.Q. into something that looked, well....stupid. The Hammond survived the fall with no ill effects, (as expected) just one of the many reasons vintage Hammonds are at the top of the keyboard chain. I think that this stand may ("may" being the keyword here) be one of the stronger X style stands, but only buy it if you plan on using standard weight keyboards. For the "heavy weights", On Stage and Quick Loc both make T style stands that will handle alot more weight than this boat anchor (probably not even heavy enough for that). For Ultimate Support to give this stand a 300 pound weight rating is not using their I.Q. very wisely.
