A sturdy stand with telescoping boom for getting your amp or drums perfectly miced.
This Ultimate Support Pro-T-SHORT-T package pairs a PRO-T-SHORT Tripod Mic Stand with the ULTI-BOOM PRO telescoping boom so you can get your mic at just the right height and angle for your needs. This combination of stand and boom will be an asset to any stage or studio setup.
PRO-T-SHORT Mic Stand
Like the rest of the PRO Series Mic Stands, the PRO-T model is designed to be a dependable, everyday workhorse. The Pro Series mic stands have an ingenious design with patented universal mic attachments that feature top threads that fit both U.S. and metric threaded mic clips and accessories. Each stand is made of thick steel tubing (1") with field replaceable parts. They also have a clutch that locks up faster and smoother than their peers with dual overmolding for a secure grip. The tripod bases feature strong legs that securely snap in place with oversized foot caps that won't fall off or let your mic be susceptible to easy knockovers. The PRO-T is height adjustable from 19.3" to 30", making it the perfect height for capturing amps or drums.
ULTI-BOOM PRO Telescoping Boom
The ULTI-BOOM PRO Telescoping Boom features a patented ball-in-joint boom arm clamp that allows you with just one Z-Knob, to control of tilt (angle), pan (left to right), depth (toward or away from you), and rotation (twisting the mic one way or the other). It’s quiet, easy, and fast.
Patented StableLock Lever
Ultimate Support's StableLock lever is one of the fastest, most secure ways to adjust the telescoping tube on a boom arm ever. Period. The telescoping arm is a D-Tube (one side is flat) so the lever secures not only the depth, but the rotation of the arm, too.
Ulti-Boom Pro features a .65-pound die-cast zinc counterweight – not the cheesy, flimbsy, plastic piece you see on other boom arms.
Aluminum Tubing with Architectural Anodized Finish
The complete boom (mast and telescoping tube) use oversized, heavy-walled aluminum tubing for durability, functionality, and weight savings. Thanks to the architectural anodized finish (the same type of finish found on stadium bleachers), an Ulti-Boom will not rust or corrode and is 2x to 20x more durable than competing boom arm finishes.

Comments about Ultimate Support PRO-T-SHORT-T Tripod Mic Stand with Telescoping Boom:
I really liked the old ProT series mic stands, but this new iteration from Ultimate is unessicarily heavy, bulky, and hard to use. If I were buying again, I would probably get something else.
Lots of features. Telescoping boom, nice grip on the tilt adjustment.
This stand is beefy. Thick tubes and heavy base. It seems to be unessecarily heavy and bulky. Not a great advantage for traveling and load-in. They are larger as well, and harder to place in a drum kit. The old ProT series was a lot smaller, lighter and were still a beautiful product, not sure why they changed it so much.
The clutch for the vertical adjustment seems hard to use. It's a pretty smooth plastic and sometimes hard to get a grip on or get tightened down properly.
The locks for the telescoping boom are plastic, and I've had one crack after a week. They are held on with a rivet that is not too tight, so the telescoping boom has some play in it. Also, the knob for the telescoping boom is a ridged dome, kind of hard to grab.
The price is pretty competitve with other high quality stands but I can't say it's that high quality.
