VHT Valvulator I Line Driver/Power Supply  

I am a professional recording artist. You can't go wrong with this buffer and it also provides clean power to your effects. The 12AX7 tube died on me once, as any tube will so bring a spare tube just in case. Get this if you want the best.  

I bought one of these used and it works great!!  Experimented a bit and changed the tube to a Tung Sol 12Ax7 and it is even better.  I rarely use a long effects chain with my tube amps , but when I do, it really let's the effects sound more lively and the feel is just like plugging directly into the amp.  In front of my Fender Cyber Amps it really gives you that tube amp feel and warms the signal to close to an all tube amp. It really livens up the Roland JC - 120 too(The JC-120 is great by itself also:)).  If you have a solid state amp that you like, get one of these and it will give you some tube tone and repsonse if needed.

The difference in tone is remarkable. I play either my classic les paul or my american strat into a mesa nomad with a tone tubby speaker. The signal chain; a cb wah, small stone phaser, vint.tube screamer, v.l. microvibe. The chorus & delay are in the loop. Either playing lead or chording, clean or distorted, the tone is is articulate and strong. Harmonics and feedback are a breeze, sustained notes are sweet violin like tones that can be held forever. If you are a tone freak like I am, and want the most out of your setup, invest in the VHT  valvulator, you won't be sorry. All 10's except "features", wish it had an on/off switch.

Had this for 2 years. Change the tube once in a great while and don't drop it hard. I have had ZERO issues with mine. It still works- Perfectly. The groundlift switch is real handy, too. Get one of these. Get a Powerfactor Pro. You won't believe the sound you've been missing. TONE. Required for the clubbing pro! Thank God I found this thing.

I have two in my effects boards, one from the guitar plug and another at the end of my effects before it goes to my sound processors. My notes have more life that were lost in the digital realm and notes litterally breaths...dem note! The guitar is now more sensitive to my picking , tone knob tweaking and from the volume knob. This is valubale device to get some tone back that's usually lost from the effects, through the cables to the amp!
