Comments about Vic Firth Mike Terrana Signature Drumsticks:

I am super picky about my sticks, and I buy new pair constantly, even when I don't need them. I guess you could say I'm on a neverending hunt for the "perfect pair." They have to be the correct length, diameter, and tip. But I do prefer barrel tips. Naturally, using Vic Firth's stick selection guide on their website, I was given several options. The Zoro, Mike Terrana, and Tommy Igoe signatures peaked my interest, so I bought a pair of each online.
Before I decided to attempt to make a stick change, I was using the 7ANs. Before those were the Keith Carlock sigs, and before that I used the George Kollias' for a long time...
These sticks are almost considered perfect to me. When I pick them up to play, I'm inspired, and that's something I always love about a nice pair of sticks. Not too beefy, definitely not skinny, and the length is ALMOST perfect. I like a longer stick normally, but it doesn't seem to matter when I'm playing these sticks. I have absolutely no complaints, other than the color (white?!).

Comments about Vic Firth Mike Terrana Signature Drumsticks:

Compare with the Dave Weckl stick (SDW, red model) -- only this one doesn't mark up your heads! Great weight and feel. These sticks also feel great holding the tip-end and striking with the butt end of the stick.

I alternate between the Terrana model and the Vic Firth Extreme 5A.

Comments about Vic Firth Mike Terrana Signature Drumsticks:

Stay away from these. The tips are tiny and break apart as soom as you use them. Even when they new I wasn't impressed with them. I started using the George Kollias sticks and they hold up better and the tips aren't falling apart.
