Comments about Vic Firth Rock Rakes:

The bristles are more like straws. There is no pop on the down swing since these do not flex. Hold a fist full of straws and drum with them. I guess I expected the bristles to be more like a very heavy poly, the same material that is in other brushes. These are not like what is pictured and the handle flares wide where the bristles come out. It looks like my basting brush for grilling. Not a comfortable grip for my fingers.
These are so cheaply made.
These are like something you would buy at the dollar store toy isle.

Comments about Vic Firth Rock Rakes:

If your looking for a good jazzy sound do NOT get these, there not a brushy sound at all! I would go with pro mark nylon brushes, they sound awesome and dont scratch your cybals like wire brushes do.

Worth the money

Comments about Vic Firth Rock Rakes:

These brushes are definitely worth the money. They have a clean, crisp sound to them, and they're great to play with a back beat. Louder than jazz brushes but softer than rods. Great for all types of music.
