I perform 6-7 nights per week and. I have tried everything to find the right feel and durability. I've been using them for about a month and thesee are the answer.

The sticks instantly feel comfortable and have a slight front weight that feels like the stick does more of the work for you.

The durability is unsurpassed. They flake initially which is normal while the break in. They don't feel the least bit mushy or whippy.like Ahead. They also sound great on the ride cymbal bell (which Ahead does not).

The only thing I notice is that they are a little slippery and the shock goes to your hand and wrist more than wood. I put the Vater spongy stick wrap on them and now they are truly the perfect pair.

I am a longtime user of carbon fibre/ graphite/ hybrid sticks. I have used just about every brand that has been on the market (including nes that have been discontinued.) my standard, favorite, "go-to" sticks are the Aquarian formula x-10 graphite hybrid composite drumsticks. However, I have to special order these so i cant just go into a guitar center or sam ask and pick up a pair: this is what led me to try the vic firth carbon sticks. Well First off, just cuz i gave these sticks 2 stars does not mean I dont like them. they are very well made, lightweight, vic firth brand (which is the brand I ALWAYS use for wooden sticks), and most inportantly in a carbon stick: EXTREMELY DURABLE. This is very important to me as I like light, small, fast sticks for performing usually (7a, 5a, sd1 etc) and I am a BRUTAL Player when I play with a band- and when i play a show with wooden sticks I almost always break at least one stick (even if they are brand new) and this usually happns in the middle of a particularly hard solo and I end up having to cut my solos short and finish out the song with a broken stick ;(... so the benefits of carbon fiber stick are enormous to me, and Ive grown to prefer them over wood. my last pair of aquarian x-10 graphite sticks lasted me over two years (and they never broke - I just used them so much the tips have been worn down to sharp points!). the titan is not availiable in sizes I like (too big) but it was as light as a wood 7a (VERY Light, actually TOO LIGHT!)

THAT BEING SAID:
-They are so tremendously over priced as to be laughable. my Aquarian sticks literally cost 2- 4 smackers more than a pair of wood sticks. titans cost over 50bucks more than wood sticks. aquarian are under 1/6th of the cost of the titans! not to mention the next biggest (and more important to playing!) thing: "the feel." these sticks do not have enough flex to them, they are too light 4 the size, and VIBRATE LIKE CRAZY!

if u like these, Check out aquarian X-10 sticks

Comments about Vic Firth Titan Carbon Fiber Drumsticks:

I was breaking sticks like every other week, the main problem was cost and inconsistency of the sticks. Titans are great. They feel natural, well balanced, great pitch, and consistent. I was extremely surprised how good it sounded on a rim shot. Great stick, durability and consistency. WARNING THESE STICKS ARE NOT INDESTRUCTIBLE AND WILL SHOW SIGNS OF WEAR. But they last a long time and pay themselves off. Want to know why they are not indestructible? Go to Vic Firth's website to find out.

Comments about Vic Firth Titan Carbon Fiber Drumsticks:

I've been using these stick for months! They look like as if I've only been using them for days. They last! Sound is vey pingy from the ride bell. Cymbals don't seem to be wearing out, there are no dents or cracks developing. The weight is a little heavier than the hickory and white oak. It has a smooth feel, like a synthetic stick would feel like, so it's unlike the wood, so if you hope it feels like wood it's not going to. The only bad thing is that the snare gets black spots where the stick hits. Other than that it's the perfect pair.

Comments about Vic Firth Titan Carbon Fiber Drumsticks:

These are fantastic and we'll worth the price. The tip on hi hats and ride sounds/ feels between nylon and wood--which sounds great. They are fantastic feeling and balanced as the 5B that they are. I do wish they would make a 7-weight version, or eve a 5A would be great--I think they could just hollow them out more, but the taper might need to be lengthened for tip-weight balance. Anyway, if enlightened people are into these, they probably will offer more sizes/weights. But as is, just great for rock in all forms, and I'm sure all marching.

These are CLEARLY more than five times indestructible than wood. I'm buying a second pair and that would be ALL YOU NEED to bring to the gig. IF, if, IF you brake one, you'll need the back-up bit I truly can't imagine breaking three. And they sound and feel great.

Comments about Vic Firth Titan Carbon Fiber Drumsticks:

I switched to these from the Shogun 5Bs (Japanese White Oak), as those aren't offered with a nylon tip. These give an inbetween sound (between wood and nylon), and are very tough, as I tend to hit hard; these are barely showing signs of wear, in the same duration I would wear out a wood stick. I'm impressed, and will stick with these. They're far more natural sounding and feeling than Ahead's sticks, but are seemingly just as durable.

Very horrible. While the sound quality was fine, they broke within a week and I became extremely disappointing. Throughout all 7 days I probably played 4-5 at the most. I am not sure if I had a faulty pair but don't risk it these things are way to expensive.
