These High-Fidelity Earplugs from Vic Firth were designed to replicate the natural response of the ear canal so that sound is reproduced exactly as the ear would hear it, only quieter. Clarity of speech and richness of music are preserved rather than muffled.
NRR is a value derived by mathematical formula that underestimates the effectiveness of flat attenuation earplugs. These earplugs have an NRR rating of 12 decibels. For musical applications, they are rated at ER20 so you can expect approximatley 20 dB of sound reduction across all frequencies in the real world. Heavy-duty neck cord and carrying case included.

I'm a semi pro player. Been playing for years. That's why I use them, I want to be able to hear so I can keep playing for years. Hearing damage is a real concern of mine. I hate wearing any earplugs, just doesn't sound good to me. These sound better than others I've tried. At least with these, I can still hear all the parts being played by the rest of the band. If I were more disciplined, I'd wear them every time we play. I just use them for rehearsals now.
Nobody wants hearing damage. If you play in a loud band, probably best to get some of these, or similar, and start using. Hearing damage is permanent.

These plugs did what they said. they definitely eliminated excess volume to protect your ears but preserved tone quality unlike regular earplugs. they fit well and true to size along with siting well in the ears. The carrying case is great for a key chain and protects and hold the plugs very well. I highly recommend them.
The only bad thing I can say is the neck strap was cheaper than i expected and the plugs were actually blue.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
