OVERVIEW

Great sound and depth with plenty of power.

The G10C is a 10" ceramic speaker with a 30 oz motor and seamed cone. It's comparable to the eminence Ragin Cajun. However, the G10C has a warmer sound and more depth in the tone. And, with 75W of power handling, it lets you push your tones with authority.

Comments about Warehouse Guitar Speakers G10C 10" 75W American Vintage Guitar Speaker:

WGS got it right in all the right ways with this. Present and powerful throughout the EQ range, with articulate high end but no ice-pick, rich but tamed mids, and honestly the tightest most perfect bass response you've ever heard in a 10" speaker.

Some of the Fender SCX2 voices tend toward a flubby low end, but this speaker tightens it up and makes it sing. It sounds better the more you push it too.

This WGS speaker would hang with anything out there and probably stomp all over most of the much pricier 10" speakers.

Comments about Warehouse Guitar Speakers G10C 10" 75W American Vintage Guitar Speaker:

Those guys from Paducah sure know how to build some speakers. I put one of these little dudes in my Princeton Reverb and it really filled the sound out. The sound is now a bit beefier on the bottom end with a nice smooth top end. It also sounds better than the Jensen that came with the Princeton when I crank the volume up a bit for some natural overdrive. It does not get flubby like the Jensen when pushed. I have also put it up against an Eminence Legend I have. I do like the Legend, and I do like the factory Jensen. But,the G10C I would rank #1, with the Legend #2 and the Jensen #3. As it is still breaking in,(has maybe 15 hours on it) it just keeps sounding better.

Comments about Warehouse Guitar Speakers G10C 10" 75W American Vintage Guitar Speaker:

This was purchased for a SCXD. I originally bought a Ragin Cajun for it because the stock speaker, while not terrible, did not put out the power this little amp is capable of. I almost passed on getting it because the WGS website feature it as a Ragin Cagin speaker replacement, which I did not like for a Fender amp sound. But after reading reviews I decided to give it a shot. I'm totally impressed with this speaker! It's not as loud nor as harsh as the RC and it's at least as big sounding. Full range, no spikey high end, nice mids and bottom end. As it breaks in it just keeps getting warmer, smoother, all around better. Dirty or clean, it just sounds great. This my second WGS speaker (have an ET-65 in my DRRI), and after trying over a dozen speakers from big names, I'm a WGS fan for life. I'm thinking of buying a WGS G12C for a 1x12 ext cab to run my DRRI through. Though I love the ET-65 in there, this GS model is more detailed and has a wider frequency response. I may try them both together. Right now I plug into the little SCXD as this speaker sounds too good in there. I used to run it to a 12" ext cab with a high end speaker, but I actually like this G10C more. Great speaker, great quality and sound, and I saved the cost of shipping my taking advantage of Musician's Friend's free shipping. Doesn't get any better!

Comments about Warehouse Guitar Speakers G10C 10" 75W American Vintage Guitar Speaker:

I had a Vibrolux that was suffering from ice-pick treble, total lack of low-end, and overly harsh, shrill mids.

I tried tubes, circuit modifications, everything. Nothing helped. Was not responding well to pedals or to being pushed hard. I thought I had a lemon or a bad transformer.

My amp tech dropped in one of these with a ragin' cajun, and it SAVED that vibrolux. I can't stress enough. I've never had a simple speaker swap do so much to improve an amp that was lacking warmth, punch, and tone. I A/B'd both speakers in the amp by running one at a time so I could compare the 2, because they're supposed to be similar.

They are very similar, but the WGS just edged out the cajun in mids and highs, with a tiny touch more clarity. BOTH were excellent speakers that complemented each other quite well, and they combined in all the right areas, too.

In retrospect, I would rather have just had 2 G10C's. I bought a G12C/S to tame the brittle highs in my Blues Jr, and it was also a massive, MASSIVE improvement.

I'm ordering 2 G10C's right now for my Fender Vaporizer.
