Comments about Warehouse Guitar Speakers Retro 30 12" 75W British Invasion Guitar Speaker:

Just like all the other reviews have said, these speakers are perfect. I paired this speaker with The Reaper and with the Bogner-designed 100watt line 6 head, I'm totally satisfied. I broke them in, and now I get that nice breakup with good volume, too. Who needs a half stack! Highly recommended.

Comments about Warehouse Guitar Speakers Retro 30 12" 75W British Invasion Guitar Speaker:

Replaced the two light and flimsy Fender-labeled Eminence speakers in my Fender FM212R with one WGS Retro 30, and one WGS ET65. Suffice to say I no longer need stomp boxes. So whether I play subtly, clean, palm muted, gritty or flat-out dirty, my amp now sounds tonally incredible, responsive and amazing. And what makes it all the better is the relentlessly raw, clean power of the Fender FM 212R.

My next project is to replace the speakers in my second 4x12 cab via Musician's Friend with two WGS Invader 50's, and two WGS Reaper HP's. Once done, to include 5+ hours of playing, I will again post another update. In the meantime, Warehouse Guitar Speakers (WGS) has proven to simply be the best guitar speakers made, in my honest opinion.

This speaker raised the level, sound quality of my Blackstar HT Club 40. Great sound, responds amazing. Done with Celestion. Great product!
The packaging was fantastic, considering I ordered replacement tubes as well. Don't need the tubes now, the speaker did the trick.

Comments about Warehouse Guitar Speakers Retro 30 12" 75W British Invasion Guitar Speaker:

Put 2 Retro 30's (Bottom) and 2 ET65's (Top) in my 4X12 Cab driven by my Carvin MTS-3200H, and the sound/tone they produce together is simply breathtaking, regardless of settings, channel, and pedals used. As a matter of fact, I have switched to mainly straight lining into the head, or using my Danelectro D-2 FAB Overdrive Guitar Effects Pedal on occasion for max saturation in the clean channel - that's it. Yes, forget Celestion, because the tone and sound the WGS' produce is far superior IMHO.

My next project is to replace the stock speakers in my Fender 212R that I purchased in 2008 from MF with 1 Retro 30 and 1 ET65. Will write a review of that setup once I've put at least 5 hours of hard playing into them.

Comments about Warehouse Guitar Speakers Retro 30 12" 75W British Invasion Guitar Speaker:

This has become my go to speaker. Used to use only Celestion Vintage 30's, but will not pay that kind of money anymore. Do yourself a favor, break these in at high volume for a few hours and then wow, that's a great sounding speaker. All speakers need some break in, not unique to just these.

Paired the Retro 30 with an ET65 in my Blackstar HT60 completely changed the sound. This speaker is great for bringing life to an old amp or to perk up your tone. I get both great cleans and distorted tones with the Retro 30 ET65 combo. I couldn't be happier with this speaker.

Comments about Warehouse Guitar Speakers Retro 30 12" 75W British Invasion Guitar Speaker:

I've owned the retro 30 speaker for about a year now, and I went out and purchased a celestion vintage 30 for a potential "upgrade"....Oh my god...I HATED the vintage 30, so I stuck my retro 30 back where it belongs, in my dsl40c (just a forewarning, this is just my opinion, my experience may not reflect your experience)

Bass responsiveness is aggressive, present, but also tight. The mid range? I've never noticed it being prominent or subtle, it sits well in-between the lows and highs (might be more low-mids than high mids?). Either way, the sound as a whole sits VERY well. I've heard people comment that the speaker sounds digital, and at least to my experience in respect to the stock 70/80, celestion vintage 30, and retro 30, the retro 30 sounded the most "authentic", and held up the best in distortion and cleans.

Point being? It's a He11 of a speaker! Literally, I think in the future I'm going to steer clear of celestion, their speakers have been dismal in my experience, as well as overpriced, for the price this thing is a steal.

Comments about Warehouse Guitar Speakers Retro 30 12" 75W British Invasion Guitar Speaker:

It's a Vintage 30 clone, or so they would have you believe. I've had Vintage 30's in lots of different amps and it was my "go to" speaker, regardless of open or closed back cabs. However, 150 frog skins a pop is a bit ridiculous. Heard great reviews about WGS and picked up the Retro 30 for my VK112 (1st gen). Holy smokes, all the tone of a Vintage 30 but...better!! The mid peak is killer, better bottom end response and the highs are sparkling. Seriously though, the mid peak on this speaker ROCKS!!! Really comes alive on the dirt channel. Trust me, for 69 bones you won't find a better speaker on the market. I now ONLY run WGS products in my cabs due to being economical and sounding friggin AWESOME!!!

This speaker was a great improvement to an already great amp.
I installed it in a Fender Supersonic 22 and it really woke up the amp. Great sounding and great quality. Thanks to Vaughn Skow for the demo!
