This is the string that Warwick puts on all of their new basses and for good reason. They play and sound better than any other set I have tried on my Warwick Corvette. These strings have a round (as opposed to hex) core which gives them a very supple quality. The sound is bright but very meaty giving the overall effect of a grand piano's bass strings. I would recommend these strings to any bassist that is looking for a big, rich tone.

I'm a very active Musician, playing all styles of bass including slap, tap, 1-4 fingers, two hand tap. Theres strings sound very good for them all, very full and clear tone, and punchy as hell, but about 2 months into owning these I popped a G string.Keep in mind I only use standard and drop d on occasion, and I tune my bass once weekly, every weekend. If you have the money to spend on new strings every 2 or 3 months than these are wonderful, but otherwise I would suggest Rotosound Round wounds, they're around the same price, and last much much longer.

Undeniable TONE

By 2Camelman

from Moses Lake, WA

Comments about Warwick Black Label Stainless Medium 4-String Bass Strings:

I have used these strings exclusively on my Thumb NT. Two buddies have Warwicks and they refuse to put anything else on their basses. I followed their advice and I get constant comments on my bass's acoustic tone. Plugged in it is absolutely ridiculous!! Try a set...you might be pleasantly suprised.

Comments about Warwick Black Label Stainless Medium 4-String Bass Strings:

My set is now just loosing it's bite and so it's time for a new set depending on what and how often you play is a factor in how long they sound good but if you can get four months thats not to bad?

Depends on WHAT You play?

Comments about Warwick Black Label Stainless Medium 4-String Bass Strings:

I had or have the Honor of owing a 1986 Streamer, not a1 or a 2 just a Streamer and it has (STOCK) EMG's and these strings came with the bass. I've try'd just about them all and I went back to the Black Label and they make the Bass sound as close to a Stand-up as possible. So You got to try a few different strings before You find the one's that WORK! Good Hunting!!!!!!!!!!

Overall great strings

By travis_guitar

Comments about Warwick Black Label Stainless Medium 4-String Bass Strings:

I have used many different brands of strings, but for standard round-wound strings, these are the best. Warwick puts out a really great product. Definitly my strings of choice! These strings are bright and clear, and last a really long time. They sound really good on warwick's bell-brass frets!

The best bass stings out there.

By JCW

Comments about Warwick Black Label Stainless Medium 4-String Bass Strings:

I've been playing bass for 27 years and these are the best strings I've ever used. They're bright yet have a seriuos punchy low end. They also last longer than other brands. They are a little more expensive but they are worth it!

not what i expected

By nun lover

from overland park, KS

Comments about Warwick Black Label Stainless Medium 4-String Bass Strings:

my corvette came with different strings on it, now i know why. i had to try warwick strings because i assumed they were made to sound good specifically for warwick basses. but i was disapointed. really bright sound for an already bright sounding bass. the strings sound crunchy against the frets and it annoyed me. i'm sure depending on personal preferences they sound good to some people, but not me. i'm only using DR strings from now on. bass strings are too expensive to gamble with.
