Comments about Warwick Yellow Label Nickel Medium 5-String Bass Strings:

These are some very high quality strings that have great tone. After years of not playing I forgot about nickel strings. Once I played them again I fell in love again instantly. The reason I only gave these strings three stars is because when I put them on my Warwick Corvette Proline the E string was not tapered (as with DR strings)which made it a difficult fit for the bridge. Also, the B string needs to be taper more near the tuning peg. A full gauge B string should not have to be wrap around the tuning peg. If I can't find tapered nickel strings from another brand I will definitely buy these again. The only reason two stars were knocked off it because Warwick needs to gauge their strings better to their basses.

Use these on a 1994 Warwick

By Florida basement dude

Comments about Warwick Yellow Label Nickel Medium 5-String Bass Strings:

Fit perfectly on my Fortress One 5-string. Stay in tune good. They keep the new 'zing' about 60 days, and still have good sustain for 6 - 8 months.
I'm not sure how these ratings work, but these strings are made for Warwick so you know they'll sound good with one. I haven't tried them on any other bass.
I could get several sets cheaper but I want the Warwick set for my Warwick. This does have the famous sustain Warwicks are noted for.

They fit!!

Comments about Warwick Yellow Label Nickel Medium 5-String Bass Strings:

I find then to be nice and "thick" sounding without being stupidly bright when new. They mellow nicely after about a week or so and I usually change them every couple of months when they finally die. Most importantly they fit my 35" scale basses (peavey grind ntb5 and a ibby BTB405) and the 4 string set sounds just as nice om my MIM fretless jazz bass although they did sound a bit harsh at first on the J bass they do mellow nicely.

Perfect combo....nickel, gauge, tone

By Tim Faber

from Roswell, GA

Comments about Warwick Yellow Label Nickel Medium 5-String Bass Strings:

Literally have tried about 12 manufacturer, gauge, coating, and TW combos. This is the best. The 135 allows to play hard and stays in tune. Strings don't have the collection of overtones most of the others I tried did.
