First of all, my ratings on features and quality are compared to the wide variety of louder more efficient replacement speakers there are out there.  This speaker is a ceramic version of a Jensen C12R, 1" VC 25W vintage style seamed ribbed cone.  EXCEPT is has a much bigger magnet than the Jensen. This speaker isn't a do all for all amp circuits.  One wouldn't want to put one of these in a Deluxe Reverb or the Blues Deluxe Deville Hotrod series type circuits.  This speaker matches up well with tweed era more brown type tones.  This is the speaker to get if you're wanting to put together a budget 5E3.  I would use two of these if I gigged with a low power tweed twin 5E8-5F8. I would think 4 of these would be cool in a JTM45/4x12 half stack setup if one wanted a lower volume rig they could drive with the power tubes.  That's where the magic is in these speakers, they can be driven harder with out being ear splitting loud.  The less efficient small voice coil contributes to this speaker being more touch sensitive than the more common 12" 75-150w 1.5-3" VC's types found in a majority of the amps on the planet.  Vintage old school tone with lots of dynamics.  I really can't say enough about how nice this speaker is for the money.

Having been playing since 1956,i can assure you this speaker is very old school.Seamed cone, stamped basket but ceramic magnet.Originally bought this to replace a bad speaker in a Crate, only to find that was not the only issue the Crate had.But it makes a pleasant spkr cab and now is driven by a Frontman 10G Fender.Very efficient and clean and clear even though only driven by 10 watts. This appears to be a well-made spkr and i have to say i am thoroughly satisfied.
