In my quest to find a pick that makes me happy, I got turned on to these in Wichita, KS. I was at an old pawnshop who sells these in a big jar with a bunch of other picks. I dug out two dozen of the blue 1mm picks, and have only used 1 pick. I have been practicing with e metronome and alternate picking as well as sweep picking, and the darn pick just does not seem to wear out. As long as I do not lose this pick, the two dozen should last me a long time. I have always had problems with picks sliding around in my fingers, and with the Wedgie, this is not a problem. I love this pick! I love these picks!!!!! See my youtube channel coming soon "brownieshouseofblues"

I've experimented witht he 1.0mm (Red) Wedgie Derlin's for about eight weeks and on the whole I like the pick but find it somewhat limited in its utility. Design wise, the pick is a success: its unique shape worked well for me and the very subtle texture of its surface provides extra grip and stability. The pick is very durable and displays little evidence of being played. In terms of tone and harmonics, though, the 1.0mm is very dull and hollow. This isn't necessarily a bad thing. I found a few interesting new sounds with the Wedgie, but it has a very narrow sweet spot in terms of tone. The pick's worst attribute is its tendency to stumble and hang up on single note runs, perhaps caused by the subtle surface texture? I'm by no means a fast player so what was an annoyance to me would likely prove terminal for faster players. In summary, the dimple design is not a gimic, it does work. The limited tonal range might be unique to the 1.0's, and it would be interesting to try the other weights in this product range. I'll concede, though, that I'm not terribly interested in spending the money to learn that answer.

It's so simple, you'll flatten your forehead from slapping it and saying "duh?". The ergonomic design will facilitate better grip on your pick, if you don't already. (I always reverted to a "pencil grip" when the pick was slipping.)With a better grip there is less slippage. Of course one has to do your part and provide sufficient grip force.

Ordered these picks in .50 and .75.- red and yellow. The material is very robust, the thumb dent is ok, but it would be easier to use the slippiest slippy thing you can think of as they just drop out of your hand. Therefore a poor rating from me!

These Picks are fairly durable, With excellent grip thnks to the thumb dent, But are somewhat lacking as far as tone. And don't try to scratch these picks along your strings: the edges will nick instantly, and start getting caught on your strings. One of mine got so bad that it tore itself in half. You can do better than this.

                  Wedgie Picks

Comments about Wedgie Delrin EX Guitar Picks 1 Dozen:

This doesn't come close to a Dava, and nothing ive found so far does either. These picks are slick, and not in the good way. When your hand gets sweaty, these things will start dropping to the floor like nobodies business. Its hard to keep a grip on them. Go with Dava and save yourself embarrassment on stage.

I want to like these picks, but I can't seem to keep them in my grip. I find I'm concentrating more on keeping them straight than what I'm playing. Wedgie has the Nylon XT picks that I have far better luck with. That said, these do feel great on the strings. My dream pick would be this Delrin EX material on the actual picking point, and the gripped Nylon XT material for holding it.

These picks are great for playing any style. I have always been dissatisfied with flat picks because they work their way out of my grip in rythm pieces. That is not an issue with the wedgie. While it is smooth, the thumb dimple gives this pick superior grip and comfort without sacrificing playibility.
