    Wedgie

The pick that stays put, never clicks, and sounds warm.

The unique and innovative Wedgie guitar pick is designed to be so comfortable, you'll never hold a flat pick again without noticing how flat it is. The Wedgie's contoured shape allows it to be held more firmly without changing its playing feel.

Wedgie Rubbers use a special elastomer material to nearly eliminate pick noise, leaving you with clean, warm tones. It sounds like your fingers, yet plays like a pick. Outstanding for classical and acoustic guitars, and for bass.

Great elastomer picks, especially if you have slippery fingers. They really get a unique sound from an acoustic guitar, too. Order today.

Like most aspects of all guitar products, the Wedgie offers up tone. Like preferences in pedals or amp makes, we all have tones we try to achieve. On guitar, this pick is just a tool I use to get a certain tone. Great for blues solos and slow melodic stuff, think Samba Pa Ti. It can make a blues solo truly cry with a skilled fret hand. Most of my guitar paying is done with a regular celluloid pick but when I need that controlled muted tone, I know where to get it. I don't use them for rhythm guitar. Just wears them out.

I also use them constantly when playing bass. I am a guitar player pushed into that bass spot sometimes. My finger picking is not up to snuff on some songs, due to lack of practice and experience. But I get there with a pick, no problem. But I did not want that sharp pick attack, especially when I get rolling in high gear. These picks are great for speed and tone on the bass.

They do wear out though, actually pretty quick in rehersal/gig situations where you are knocking out 3 hours of tunes. So while they cost a little more and use up faster, I find achieving the tone I want well worth it. Heck, I still buy premium ice cream and that doesn't do a dang thing for me!

I bought these on a whim, and I don't really like them. They feel like pencil erasers, and my steel strings tore them apart. After only one half an hour session, they were already falling apart. They do,however, cut down on the percussive sound of the pick hitting the strings, and do provide a new sound. Just not my cup of tea, and if you are going to use them, plan on replacing them often.

These are cool picks. They give an interupted tone with emphasis on the note itself without the flicking sound common associated with soft picks. However if you're heavy handed like me you may wear through them quickly.

Comments about Wedgie Rubber Guitar Pick:

As a guitarist who plays running bass lines on my recordings, I do not have the bare finger skills great base players have. I have to use a pick. My hard plastic or metal picks leave a clicking sound coming thru on my recordings, this I cannot have. These picks allow me to run strong, fast and hard on the bass strings with no annoying clicks coming thru my digital audio workstation onto my digital tracks. Now I always keep these for this reason and I like the hard thin ones....

These are good for if you want to soften and round out your tone. I agree with some of the reviews and I also am not too hot on them for strumming and may have selective usage depending on the sound you are going for. I personally like them, expecially for a mellow bluesy sound.

These are good for lead playing if you want to soften the sound just a bit, but still have good control. I don't like them for strumming, so they have limited use for me, but I do enjoy using them on those occassional lead-only soft jazz or blues runs.

                        Bad!!!
I think they are terrible. The material catches on the strings, the sound on a strike of the string is weak, it provides a poor playing experience. I sometimes clinch my teeth when I play ... I guess a sensory overload ... I might use the pick to chew on so I do not grind my teeth.

                        Rubber OK, but Plastic Better...

Comments about Wedgie Rubber Guitar Pick:

Rubber, paper, plastic! That is right, the rubber picks get caught on the strings and the plastic ones don't get caught. The rubber picks are great for gripping but bar for playing and strumming. If you go up to the search bar and type in "guitar pick" and click lowest to highest. Those pack of 10dollar picks are amazing or the musicians friend picks are too.
This pick has amazing quality, looks like it will never break or bend. That's the problem though. It won't bend. When you strum all six (6) strings, it gets caught on the string and it sort of sticks. But i bet mine will never break:)!

Comments about Wedgie Rubber Guitar Pick:

I really like using this pick on my bass. I have been using felt, but they don't get comfortable until they wear down and soften up a little. It gives a nice muted picking sound, so I only hear the string/note being played.
I like the indentation for your thumb
Made from high quality rubber. They are a bit large , but can be trimmed down to a comfortable size.
They are a good choice for an alternative to nylon or plastic

Comments about Wedgie Rubber Guitar Pick:

Wedgies rubber picks work great on my bass guitar, and are OK for my electric, but I am ordering the thin (softer) version to try as well. They offer a nice muted picking sound, so you only hear the string/note you are playing.
I like the indentation for your thumb
Seems to be made from high quality material. Feels durable, but may be a bit too large and stiff for electric guitar.
A good alternative to nylon or plastic picks at an affordable price.
