Sturdy, great looking, well balanced and most of all provide great humidity control when used with something like the Planet Waves humidifier. Also, this case fit my recent purchase of a Michael Kelly J-60.Lower bout=16, upper=12,depth=4 7/8, body length=20 1/2 and total length=42. Fit like it was custom made for my guitar! Also a plus was the fact that Yamaha didn't splash their logo all over it like Gibson or Epiphone...not a bit of class in doing that. I prefer NOT to be a walking advertisement. My playing is all the advertisement I need. Great case. You won't be sorry. Just double check the body dimensions.

Comments about Yamaha Dreadnought/Jumbo Vinyl Hardshell Guitar Case:

The AEL50C case costs nearly-twice that of a musicians gear case but if you own an Ibanez AEL20 you'll need the Ibanez case. And even this one is just BARELY wide enough to accommodate the electronics of the AEL20 & you'll still need to be careful when placing guitar in case. I've tried the MG & Yamaha dreadnaught case & the Yamaha jumbo case, all too narrow in the lower bout, so you'll be stuck buying the more expensive Ibanez case. One other possible, the (Fender Arch-Top Jumbo Acoustic Guitar Case, Tweed), should fit it and it is cool looking and DOES NOT sport the Fender logo. And, isn't that much more money. But I don't believe MF carries this case. I recently wrote to FMC (Fender Music Corp), and told them the dimensions listed for both of their tweed cases on their web site were identical. They wrote back indicating "this was a misprint that will be changed. Here is the correct dimensions for the Jumbo case": Length 44.25"; Upper bout 13.5"; Waist 11.5"; Lower bout 17.25" Depth 5.25". Not meaning to advertise the FMC jumbo case, but look into as a possible option to this case. Now, for the AEL50C: It only has 3 latches and you'll need to spring for the lock as out of the 3 latches, none has the familiar lock & key set up. This case is advertised as (5) ply, MG dreadnaught too-small case is (3) ply, but to me the MG cases are quite sturdy but don't fit this guitar. The top of the AEL50C case on the outside is rough & bumpy beneath the vinyl coating where it was put together. There are several small slits/punctures in & through the outer vinyl & into the shell and, there is some bare laminate showing in spots where vinyl covering should have been. I don't hate the case, just pointing out what I observed for the case I received. Would I buy it again? I would at least look into the Fender jumbo if needing a jumbo case then make a decision.

Comments about Yamaha Dreadnought/Jumbo Vinyl Hardshell Guitar Case:

I needed a hard case for my new Taylor 214. It was pretty tight in my Martin dreadnought case so I was apprehensive about buying a case that might not work. The sales rep at Musician's Friend assured me that this case would fit and he was right! Good quality case and a real bargain.

Comments about Yamaha Dreadnought/Jumbo Vinyl Hardshell Guitar Case:

I bought a Taylor 214 to use as a backup for the Taylor 814 I bought in 1989. It's my main stage guitar. Although I was pleasantly surprised by the Taylor hard gigbag that came with the 214 I wanted a hard case for it. Based on the measurements given by another reviewer (thanks) I determined it would fit the Taylor GA body. It fits well. The upper and lower bouts are perfect as well as the length. As the case was made to fit a dreadnought as well as a jumbo there is a little gap at the waist. No problem. No labels, the case is black. It looks like it belongs, the only thing missing is the Taylor case badge but at this price I can live without that.

This DREADNOUGHT/JUMBO VINYL HARDSHELL GUITAR CASE was a most excellent purchase! I am very impressed with the quality of this case for the low price I paid. It is the best deal on a case I have ever seen and I have recommended it to my friends.

A list of some guitars this fits: the Yamaha FG and LL series, the Takamine G series and an Epiphone AJ 100 CE. This leads me to believe that it should fit any dreadnought/jumbo. It's well padded and all the latches operate nicely. An added bonus is that the interior storage compartment is larger than most and holds items securely. It's a no-brainer purchase (which is handy if you are a musician---lol)

Comments about Yamaha Dreadnought/Jumbo Vinyl Hardshell Guitar Case:

I got this to hold my Sigma DM-3S as it is 20+ years old and in like new condition. I did not want a case that cost more than the guitar was worth. I just wanted something that would keep it looking new. This case is just as nice and almost identical to my Martin 345 case. My Martin Custom D, Sigma and Yamaha F-335 fits perfect in it. If you need a nice case and don't want to spend a lot this is the case for you. I love my Yamaha Case!!!

Also the case is like the last picture the one that shows it open not the frist.

It is a substantial case, it fits my Fender Accustic Electric fine...it does it's job...although I will not be backing over this one like I did my Takamine 12-string back in 2004...case cracked in three places and the guitar was in perfect shape...I was overjoyed that I bought that case...I will settle for pleasantly pleased with this one, thank you.
