Sturdy, great looking, well balanced and most of all provide great humidity control when used with something like the Planet Waves humidifier. Also, this case fit my recent purchase of a Michael Kelly J-60.Lower bout=16, upper=12,depth=4 7/8, body length=20 1/2 and total length=42. Fit like it was custom made for my guitar! Also a plus was the fact that Yamaha didn't splash their logo all over it like Gibson or Epiphone...not a bit of class in doing that. I prefer NOT to be a walking advertisement. My playing is all the advertisement I need. Great case. You won't be sorry. Just double check the body dimensions.

Yamaha Dreadnought/Jumbo Guitar Case Prod# H73156

By Anonymous

Comments about Yamaha Dreadnought/Jumbo Vinyl Hardshell Guitar Case:

Very happy for 2 main reasons.First is size. The specs available show 5" depth but by my measurement the bottom half alone is 5 inches deep. The lid adds another full 1 1/4! So that worked out great for me and my arched guitar. And the the big end of my guitar is 16 3/16 inches and fits just right.2nd reason is to baby my guitar. The case I had been using has metal reinforcement where the top and bottom meet. That feature is nice and strong but if I'm not slow and careful when putting the guitar into that case, my sweet guitar kind of bangs on the metal. This new case is allows the guitar to enter the case softly and smoothly.

Comments about Yamaha Dreadnought/Jumbo Vinyl Hardshell Guitar Case:

A list of some guitars this fits: the Yamaha FG and LL series, the Takamine G series and an Epiphone AJ 100 CE. This leads me to believe that it should fit any dreadnought/jumbo. It's well padded and all the latches operate nicely. An added bonus is that the interior storage compartment is larger than most and holds items securely. It's a no-brainer purchase (which is handy if you are a musician---lol)

Comments about Yamaha Dreadnought/Jumbo Vinyl Hardshell Guitar Case:

THIS CASE ACTUALLY FITS THE LARGER 16.25" LOWER BOUT OF THE YAMAHA DREADNOUGHTS. I run Greg GUitars LLC in Southport. We see a whole lot of cases and instruments. This case will not dissapoint you especially when the price is considered. Other cases in this price range simply fall flat on their faces. This one will do the job without a lot of attention, which is as it should be.

Comments about Yamaha Dreadnought/Jumbo Vinyl Hardshell Guitar Case:

Got this cheap from MF and was pleasantly surprised by the fit, finish, and quality of manufacture. I've got cases made-to-fit the guitars I own that are three times the cost and much, much poorer quality than this puppy. Paired it up w/an Oasis humidfier, an Epi PR-150 on sale, a Snark tuner, some Martin strings, and a couple of packs of replacement picks. About two benjamins for the lot. Hard to beat, and good quality for the price. To quote Cookie Monster..."ME HAPPY!"

Comments about Yamaha Dreadnought/Jumbo Vinyl Hardshell Guitar Case:

I'd say excellent but there are better, far more expensive cases. I have a custom jumbo that fits it nicely. A "real jumbo" will not. Perfect for my everyday use at a great price. If your guitar fits and isn't worth thousands, there is no reason to spend more.

Comments about Yamaha Dreadnought/Jumbo Vinyl Hardshell Guitar Case:

I know it seems silly to write a review about a simple case, but I really like the quality. It's a total steal at $60. It's not exclusive to any one model of the Yamaha line, which is something I like in case I get several styles. Right now, I'm using it to hold my CPX1000. There is about a 1/2 inch space leeway between the back of the guitar and the back of the rear of the case, but I suppose it couldn't be a perfect fit and still accomodate various body shapes. I don't see it as a problem. There is a cutout groove in the interior padding for electronics (knobs and sliders) that might not be flush with the preamp, a nice touch. (My old case that was exclusive to the Compass series didn't have that cutout and several knobs were bent. I eventually had to cut out a groove myself.) I feel this case will protect the guitar for years to come and it looks good as well. Buy it.
