Finally my keyboard player is happy! I am running his keyboards in stereo through a Yamaha MG10/2 mixer held on a stand with this wonderful adapter, and then the main outs on the mixer go to a dual direct box into the PA. I use the control room outs to feed a signal to a QSC K12 on the floor. Now he can hear himself but doesn't blast everyone else in the monitor mix.He can easily reach the C-R volume knob of the mixer because it is next to him and angled on a mic stand. Also, there are many companies who sell this product, but Musician's Friend has the best price. Hands down.

Built tough and looks great, but would NOT suggest using this as a COMPACT, ON-THE-GO item for Mixers because: The double screw idea can drive you baty when you just want to throw it all in the case and go home after the gig. One screw fell out on me even though they have plastic retainers, but luckily I did not lose it. I am a guitar player/singer. I go very light and compact, so I pack my Yamaha "MG82CX" mixer in my attache suitcase (upper compartment-leather sheath) and foot pedals/mics below. In order to store it without using twice the space, I must remove the mount - If I didn't like the mixer so much, I'd have sold it already because of the mounting method. Would be nice for Yamaha to resolve with a better solution such as "compact AND easy to detach". Maybe like a sliding CHANNEL MOUNT ON THE (recessed into) MIXER BASE and then a matching flat-top fitting with a locking push button which clicks in, once fully inserted.

You need a tripod mic stand, then the clamp works great and keeps the stagepass mixer stable, easily accessible and off the ground.

I bought this to attach a small shelf to my mixer stand. Along with a clamp on extension bar and this device I Built a small shelf to place a small mixer when additional channels are needed.

Comments about Yamaha Microphone Stand Adapter For S15:

I have just returned from the first gig using this bracket. Used it to mount a Yamaha MG 10/2 mixer onto an old (& heavy duty) Atlas microphone stand. Had the stand (with the mixer at a slight tilt) right next to my piano & organ rack. Everything worked flawlessly. Here's a tip ..... Use a quick release microphone adapter to attach this unit to the stand (saves a lot of time & aggravation).

Once the unit is attached to the stand it is difficult to attach to the mixer, and vice versa. Should have a "quick connect" that allows attaching one piece to the stand, one piece to the mixer, and then you could "snap" the two together. Otherwise, it's great for brining the mixer close to where you are, rather than being away from the performer, up on a stand where the speakers are.
